I want to know at what point do they stop making me responisble for paying on a work permit.

Also if I close down a business do I have to pay to close...?

If you no longer work at a job then you need to go to the Labor Office and cancel it, if you have a work permit through your own company you will also need to cancel it when you close the company down. Sunbelt Asia charged 1500 baht in professional fees to cancel your work permit
