I live in the uk with my Thai wife. We have an S C B (online) easy account.I have a problem with my windows xp desk top pc. I can log in but I can not use the links on the first page to access the account details. I know its the pc because I can use it with my xp laptop using the same router.
I have tried everything to fix this but nothing seems to work. I have contacted scb and they tried quite hard but when I got the laptop to work while they were on the phone. They laughingly told me to buy a new computer.
I have tried different browsers Motzilla and internet explorer. I have cleared the cashe and disabled proxy settings. I have done a system restore and tried with antivirus and fire walls off.Im thinking it may be a registry problem.
Does anyone have any ideas? If my laptop updates to the same problem I will be in real trouble. We make payments every month in Thailand using the scb account.

I think so. It used to work. I dont know what I have updated but even a 3 week system restore didn't cure it.

It could be that your desktop connection to the router is flaky and is dropping some packets in between. This can be due to bad cable, or malfunctioning network adapter, or new, updated drivers for it that not work very well. HTTPS (secure) protocol is very sensitive to such dropouts.

THANKYOU SO MUCH. I just took a look and the conection cable to the router was not fully pushed in to its conector housing on the back of my computer. Pushed it in and all is well.

Glad the OP got it sorted.

happynt - Care to elaborate on the "plug ins"? I use SCB Internet banking and have never had to install/plug in anything extra?
