Hi Bambina

I would like to point out that the URL you quote below is incorrect.

The 3 letter domain is .net. = http://www.comeonplace.net/

Pets allowed in Chiang Dao Nest resort

http://www.chiangdao.com/nest/

This resort, about 60 km from Chiang Mai, is ideally located in the mountain, surrounded by big bamboo trees and beautiful view. THey allow small pets (dogs and cats) but the owners have two cats roaming freely in the big garden. It is a beautiful place to relax and feel regenerated. The Ratan bungalows are very nice, clean and very well maintained.  The rates are cheap (500 to 700 per night depending on season) and the food excellent. There are two Chiang Dao Nest resort. The Nest 2 is the most recent where they serve Thai food. The first one, much better located with big trees in the middle of the garden, serve Western food only. The food is absolutely delicious but not cheap, count about 400 bahts minimum per person per lunch or dinner, but the quality and taste is really surprising and worth trying. Highly recommand it.

I was really looking forward to go there, but we just called and they said no dogs  :o

Hi,

The Chiang Mai place is actually called Come On Place.....

For more info, see here:

thailand-travel-help.com

Then head to the Chiang mai section, then 'Hotels in Chiang Mai'. It's number 12 on the list.

Hi,

I just created a google doc listing all the info on here. See and edit it here : https://docs.google....m3j3_43f82n2xgq

Let's build up a list of hotels together!

If someone wanted to go through the info and arrange it by area of Thailand ie North, NE, Middle, South etc, with sub headings for Jangwats  that would be great.

I'm new to this forum. My wife is Thai, so things have been easier for me without the language barrier.  We have been traveling here for the past 9 months while deciding where to settle. I brought my 12 year old German Shepherd from the US. I was not sure if finding bungalows and hotel rooms would be difficult, but have found that most places accept her. I also found that asking in person is MUCH better than asking over the phone. Phoning would yield mostly a "no" answer. When we  just show up (even to some pretty nice places), they say yes more often than no. I have not asked in Bangkok, but Chiang Mei and other towns went OK. Good luck.

Why do you list all these Hotels as Pet friendly when almost none of them  accept pets. It seems that this is just an advertising gimmick?

For Chiang Mai there's a dog-friendly guesthouse just outside the old centre Liam's Suan Dok Mai.
Friends of mine stayed there a couple of weeks when they moved to Thailand.
