Serious question: why doesn't Jamie Redknapp look like his dad?

Another central midfielder will be a must carmine. Looking at Hudd's injury record we can't trust him to stay available for the whole season I'm afraid. A keeper yeah and a right midfielder for me. Remy and Adebayor up front. Great. We already have four top central midfielders....how many do you want? We actually have five if you include Modric. We should stick withthose four, sell Modric, and look for some decent cover for Lennon and Bale. Injuries to Lennon ruins our balance and cost us dear. Brads not getting any younger is he! Its also ludicrous havind Cudicin who's 38 and Gomes who's a liability. Parker...Sandro...Hudd....where is the fourth carms? We need someone more creative if we sell Modric. Agree with the rest though. #6679Posted 2012-05-25 08:34:55

Regards creativity , i'm not saying for one moment we won't need to replace Modric, ofcourse, we will but don't underestimate what Huddlestone brings to the play. He turned the entire game around against Young Boys and without him we never would have qualified for the champions league #6681#6682#6683Posted 2012-05-25 12:36:08

Had he been available this season he would have given Modric a run for his money as well! I'm just worried he won't be able to play...and then where are we? #6684Posted 2012-05-25 13:04:11
Livermore is 100% ready. He was man of the match in a couple of our final games. Rock solid.
But yes, Hudd's fitness is a very big worry. He will be more of a bonus #6685Posted 2012-05-25 13:29:50

He will be more of a bonus If you are right regarding Livermore its a big plus for us....maybe we should concentrate on goalscorers then this summer. If we can bring in two then that would be great. #6686Posted 2012-05-25 13:41:21

Well if Modric goes which is likely then we'll have to bring in a playmaker for sure. Aside of this Adebayor and Remy would be fantastic. If we secured them we would have VDV as the third striker and sell Defoe. Whilst Brad is now so old he might forget who he plays for my main concern is the lack of replacement for Bale and Lennon I would also like Levy to sell Kranjcar. He's been very loyal to us and is not going to break into the first team. He deserves the chance to get his career back on track. Dos Santos should also be sold. Theres no point in having him if Redknapp clearly doesn'y want to play him #6687Posted 2012-05-25 21:14:07
A winger who can play either side would be fantastic. Bring on Robben....!
Oh and carms don't bother with the disnae or dusnae...you will still be getting abuse next month. #6688Posted 2012-05-25 22:44:58
I agree with smok's be nice if livermore was ready next season but i dont think so, big differenc between starting a few games and being a ll regular, he 'll hold his game together and wont do anything wrong,, but is he at changing a game stage yet, like sandro , parker , modric and huddlestone, bale ect ect? dont think so. Well . Any way our mans meeting their man on monday, hopefully to finalise the vertigooooo deal,

If we get the striker next week as well and Adebayor gets a deal then I will be a happy man going into the Euros. #6690Posted 2012-05-26 08:43:41

Hoilet the obvious choice...plays both sides doesn't he. Frankly on what i saw in the final i wouldn't want Robben anyway. Overpaid show poney who plays for himself. #6691Posted 2012-05-26 15:01:53

Would be difficult to get a left winger to join us now....who would want to fight for a place with Bale? #6692Posted 2012-05-26 15:49:36
yeah peinaar has suffered that fate, and its going to be even more difficult bringing in a developing talent knowing that he's probably going to be sitting on the bench at best. People/fans have short memories, and i'm sure if peinnar hadnt gone and had a fab end of the season with everton , on here 4 sure they would have been say ing he aint in the team so he must be crap ' crap, waste of space, ect ect, when really it's just circumstance and the 4mation ect ect that has dictated the situ, not they players talent.

I see Loic Remy is out of the Euros....gives us plenty of time to try and arrange a deal. Also keeps him out of the spotlight a bit. All good stuff!

It really makes so much sense to get a player like Hoilett that can deputise on both wings. This would have solved so many problems last season. Don't think i explained myself well about Livermore. I don't think he will ever be a game changer. But he's always going to be the guy that comes off the bench and plays solid steady football all over the midfield. Young fit and confident. i think Parker will have to be used more sparingly and not get burnt out by Harry and thers always worries about Huddlestones fitness. I think you are right about Modric btw. I know theres talk about Real Madrid aswell but i'm not sure he's good enough to start looking at their midfield. #6695Posted Yesterday, 07:45

I think gradually Livermore will play more and more games and perhaps be a regular in 2 years time. Another thing i ike about him is that he is a real Tottenham man and won't want to piss off if someone waves a fiver in his face and it always seems to help team spirit to have homegrown players in the team which hopefully Caulker will be another. #6696Posted Yesterday, 10:35
Two good posts there gents. I would hope if Modric leaves its anywhere abroad really.
Don't want to be facing him next season. Livermore Sandro and Parker all fighting for 1/2 spots at the moment so that is one area we have well covered thankfully. Just waiting for the deal on the Belgian lad. And praying the Remy deal happens....! #6697Posted Yesterday, 12:35

Alfie, you do come out with some, some times mate , so your saying that when parker makes those timely interceptions and sends an opposition attack into a quick counter attack and sandro makes those lung busting runs, not game changing? of coarse they are alfie. IMO everyone of the reg starters need that ability to turn a game in the locker , Livermore is not there yet and who knows, maybe never will be.. But yeah nice to have players comin thru the ranks, caulker could well be interesting. Looks like he's really benifited from his year at swasea . |
