Konichiwa Everyone,

I have worked myself to the bone here in Japan for two years and now I am coming to Bangkok for three weeks of shopping rest sun and rest and shopping and shopping. I am coming just before Christmas and staying till January 12th 2007. Are there New Year Sales in Thailand at this time ???

I really want to buy a Hello Kitty Suitcase - I can buy an official one for the eqivalent of 6,484.16 Thai Baht here in Tokyo but I would be happy with a fake because Sanrio have had so much of my money over the past two years I really want to get this one item cheaper, as it will be used (and no doubt abused by baggage handelers)
Is there anywhere that has Hello Kitty suitcases I want a big one not for a child but full grown adult !!! ??? And any idea approximate price???!!!

Also are there Sanrio stores in Bangkok selling Hello Kitty items - I suspect they would not be anything very different in them then here in Japan but maybe some items with a Thai theme or a Kitty plush in traditional costume ???!!!???

Cheers for you help - I suspect I will be posting a few questions over the next month so in advance much appreciate all your help.

I don't remember ever seeing Kitty suitcase but MBK seems to sell plenty of fake Kitty items (but redesgined, like Kitty with mouth, etc).

Not that I've heard of... I've seen Kitty items sold at Sanrio corner in department store (don't remember which one but should be either Isetan or Central Chidlom) but certainly not as many items on the shelves as there are in Japan. A lot of die-hard Kitty fans in Thailand are dying to go to Japan for Kitty shopping...

Why don't you go to Sanrio Puroland or Hello Kitty Meruhen Town in Seibu amusement park in Tokyo for Kitty shopping?

Cheers Nordly's - yes been to Puroland and Harmonyland - I have shipped out over 120kg of Hello Kitty items back to the UK to enjoy when I finally go back there - so I am not lacking in items but suitcases get knocked about so much hoped to get one cheaper than here in Japan. I saw a lot in Hong Kong around 10,000yen thats half the price in Japan but did not get one (arrrrggg so should have got one) kinda hoped I would get a second chance in Thailand.

When I leave Thailand (Bangkok) I go to Hong Kong and land at 10:10 my flight out of HK is at 23:45 I wonder if I may have time to leave the airport get to Mong Kok and get a case there mmmm no because my lugagge will already be checked in arrrrrrrrggggggggg

My daughter is crazy about "Teee", how she calls Kitty. Good items in BKK shops are at same or similar price as in Tokyo. The choice in Tokyo is far better.

Never seen Kitty in a Thai costume. I wonder if that would disperse the attraction with Thai kids.

Even if you find a fake Kitty suitcase, it may serve one, if that, trip before falling apart. I would not buy a fake Samsonite.
