Hi i am a 42 year old australian looking to work in or around Chiang Mai. I lived in Penang as a child so Asia feels more like home than Aust does.

I know it is tough, I am learning Thai and will be doing a teaching english as a second language course here in Aust.

I really am doing this as a bac up and would like to get a job running either a pub/bar or working in a accom facility.

I have many years experience here in Aust running pubs and more recently experience in large resort facilities.

I guess ine option is to lease a bar but from what i have seen that seems something i would do after i have been in CM for a while.

If you hear of anyone who has an opening in these areas please let me know.

I would apreciate all feed back.

Do NOT forget you need a work permit to do anything like work in Thailand, even in your Bar picking up a glass or ashtray..
