Loy Krathong 2012 - Chiang Mai, Sukhothai & Ayutthaya Dates ?

Anyone know if any dates have been confirmed ?

Since the full moon night falls on a Wednesday, it's difficult to guess their celebration dates.

I am bringing some friends to Thailand for this event and need to book the air tickets and rooms, appreciate if anyone can update.

Is it still in operation ?

Let's say I start from Wong Wian Yai, do the first part, tour the market & Wat, cross the river by ferry and do the second part, get to the Kuan Yin Temple and return to Bangkok, can I start at 11 am ? Is there enough time ?

Anyone Know This Popular Restaurant'S Biz Hrs ? Urgent

2012-05-19 00:10:51

This is a very popular restaurant near the 3 Kings Monument & Art & Cultural Museum. They serve a lot of crispy pork and mixed pork ingredients soup, served with rice or a type of noodle(looks like kuoy thew in peices). Most people order crispy pork served on their rice or a seperate bowl of soup with crispy pork and other pork ingredients. The restaurant is in a single storey shop but inside it's narrow and long with many tables all the way in, very crowded during lunch hour.
They have easily 10 to 20 young staffs in uniform.

Exact location - if you are facing the Art & Cultural Museum's front entrance(where the 3 Kings status is placed), walk to the right, turn left along the first road, go straight(now the museum will be on your left); the shop is now far from there across the road.

I need to know their business hours urgently, open and close what time roughly ?

Will A Person With Cardio Problem Be Risky To Take Flight ?

2012-05-13 23:18:41

I am taking my elderly dad to visit Thailand soon but he was just discharged for a cardio problem(short of breath) and doctor said it's related to lung but no major treatment or operation needed.
His doctor did not give any definite advise whether he should travel or not but some people say the danger is in the flight(1 to 2 hours) where the poor air may give him an attack, is there any truth ?
He is  very enthusiastic about the trip. I am thinking taking him to the north for a vacation to recuperate may be good for his health and I do not wish to disappoint him.
Kindly give some advise.
In case of medical attention needed in Thailand, is medical fees costly ? Is there any government or cheap medical treatment available for a tourist.
Thank you
