#5332649 Thai Law Voiding Verdicts To Be Tabled

A guilty person who is wasting this much money, time, and human lives, just to clear his own tarnished name, is  an arrogant and unrepentant wastrel.  A guilty person who commits these actions at state-level in a poor developing-world nation that is socially and economically fragile at this time, is an uncaring despot.
He could have walked away with his stolen money & lived out his days in the type of luxury that most people can not even dream of, yet he hovers vulture-like over this nation, fermenting divisions, unbalancing people's lives, and uprooting the first green shoots of a fledgling democracy.

#5321033 Thaksin At Odds With Reds Over Call For Justice

"Should reconciliation happen, I will have an opportunity to serve my fellow Thai citizens," he said.
"If you don't want to reconcile, I don't mind living abroad. But you should think who would benefit from the continuing fight because only arms merchants will become rich."

A thinly veiled threat against the ENTIRE country, roughly translated:

"Let me back to run the show and you will have political stability through my dictatorship. Refuse and I will carry on dividing the country through 'direct action' only more so, until you are on your collective knees begging for mercy."

Question is, does he still need the reds to accomplish his goal or have they served their purpose?

The veiled threat about the arms merchants should be highlighted to every living soul in this country. When I first read it I thought he was intimating civil war.

#5302653 Mama Instant Noodle To Freeze Prices For 4 Months: Thailand

A real "people's government" in Thailand would put some energy in promoting more healthy staple foods. Mama noodles as a staple food, which as we know they indeed are for the masses here, is a horror show.

I find it ironic that Thaksin chose Let It Be as the melody for his song.  The English language lyrics to this song are about inner peace being found through religion, at least that's what I interpret the song to mean.  Quite the opposite of the controversial lyrics which Thaksin sang in Thai.
And one can interpret the lyrics to mean exactly was was sweetly warbled: To let it be and to move on. Those who don't want peace can go screw themselves as they aren't worth the time. It's actually a positive message: Life is too short to   waste it on whiners and malcontents.
So you devote your life to one,

Yingluck Shinawatra, the sister of toppled former Thai premier Thaksin  Shinawatra and the prime ministerial candidate for the country's biggest  opposition Puea Thai party, holds up a Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet  computer as she speaks to supporters in Bangkok June 18, 2011.

.

More  false allegations from you.
A Chinese supplier has reneged on its undertaking. This isn't the first time a Chinese company has done this and it won't be the last.
It's called Chinese Business Policy.
The fact that Thailand is being cautious is nothing to squeal about.

The Thais, that is the majority of Thais have already decided and always believed in Thaksin. Why do you think his sister is PM, because the majority voted for her because of who she is the sister of. The sad fact is that the country is split between the majority (the poor Thai people) and the minority ( the power hungry rich elite) who think that the poor are their servants and incapable of voting because they believe they are uneducated buffalos.
Absolute twaddle, I know plenty of Red Shirts who understand very well just what a self serving scumbag Thaksin really is. They still vote for PTP becuase they really hate the Dems and the Hi So's, who they know will not do anything for them. It's very much a case of which bunch of thieving scumbags do you want to vote for. For most they know that the Big T has given them something, 30 baht health care, housing whereas historically the Dems did nothing. I understand why people vote for PTP but to claim that they all want Thaksin back is complete rubbish.

#5216958 Thaksin Vows To Be Back In Thailand For His Birthday In July

Posted marquess on 2012-04-14 09:04:50

Thaksin is basically the chief trouble maker in Thai politics and the country as a whole, he doesn't realise that if he took himself out of the equation then there could some kind of reconciliation amongst those people he has helped to deliberately divide.  Let us also never forget that no matter how bad a leader he or she always has followers who are prepared to whitewash or deny that the leader ever really did anything wrong-- Jatuporn and Co.

If he were assassination or dropped down dead of a heart attack tomorrow, I am sure that in the long term it would save lives in this country, as this selfish egotistical maniac cares only for his money and power and will doing anything to aggrandise both.
