I just lost my beloved Nexus One in a taxi, so I need a new phone. But realistically, I had hardly used it for anything but calls since I got a Galaxy Tab. I'm torn between getting a Galaxy Note or just getting a basic Android model that does calls and is capable of running basic apps (email, calendar, and music/podcast client), and 3G capable (DTAC).
Thing is, I have no idea about the low end of Android devices. Any suggestions for a solid but cheapish model?

Interesting article, but many of the arguments are specious - apparently Apple fears that users will become entrapped in the open ecosystem that is Android, and will be unable to use competitor's products
I recently bought a Galaxy Tab and it is a serious challenger to the iPad. Not as polished on the UI front, but a lot more flexible and (I think) fun to use.
How Can I Stop Google Showing Pages In Thai?
2011-09-28 13:19:06
I have a problem with Google defaulting to Thai language when displaying search results, or when shifting between Google applications. This happens even though I'm signed in and have 'English' selected as language preference.
Is there a way to stop it? I'm going crazy. Thanks.

Bluetooth Stereo Headset?
2011-09-19 10:19:00
Anyone know where I can find a Bluetooth stereo headset in Bangkok? I'm after something I can use to Skype and listen to podcasts with *no* wires to snag on things as I walk around. I like the look of the Motorokr S305 and the Senneheiser MM 100 but haven't managed to find a dealer for either in Bangkok.
Recommendations For An Lcd Projector
2011-09-08 15:32:43
Can anyone suggest a reliable brand/model of LCD projector? It's for business use only (basically, for powerpoints in front of small groups of around 30 people). It's for work, they want something towards the cheaper end of the spectrum.
If it doesn't weigh a ton, that would also be good.
Thanks.
