Our first (spouse settlement visa) was dispatched by VFS the 19th March. No word back.

Married ten years. Two children. Self-Employed. Minimal Outgoings. But am not confident.

All the extra information UKBA required, has been submitted with 1 firm job offer for me and 1 firm job offer for my wife, plus another a trial/test in a restaurant if visa is approved and the 4 pension statements from my parents who are my 3rd party support. Hopefully they will process it quickly now that paid them another £810!

#5089929 Which Airlines Will Allow Pugs In Cargo Hold?

Air France will take them as Cargo; but of course they would, being the home of the lap dog :)
I think KLM will as well (same group now I think).

#5013031 Is It Worth Visiting Hanoi (2-3 Days)?

Posted spidermike007 on 2012-01-29 11:13:11

Been to Hanoi twice, and Saigon once. Hanoi itself is OK. Has a bit of charm. Saigon was far more interesting. If you go to Hanoi, the highlight for many is Halong Bay. Takes a couple of days to see. I much, much prefer Thailand. Mostly it is about the people. The Vietnamese people for the most part are very similar to the Chinese people. Not very warm. Not very pleasant to deal with. They are OK, but not friendly, like the Thais. Both my girlfriend, and myself felt that way. I have also been there on my own, and felt the same way. A couple of people in the tourist trade, I felt like slapping around, as they were that dismissive. Good chance I will never return to Vietnam, and will not miss it. Thailand on the other hand is wonderful. Delightful people, where ever you go. Helpful and kind. You can contact me directly at mlaart@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

#4964845 2Hand Car Cheaters On The Net.

Posted WarpSpeed on 2012-01-08 21:23:39

OP you should notify the site of the scams, they don't want a bad rep from these types of scams..

It is very hard to beat some to the punch here on purchasing a low priced vehicle with a decent resale value, I had a deal with someone and on my way to make the purchase he sold it to his buddy for 10,000 more then he agreed with me even though the car was listed for weeks at the price he ultimately sold it to his mate for in the end, I think that's crap ethics as to me a deal is a deal but TiT..

It seems that many Thai's do buy without review if they see a cars potential and will take a chance on depositing or transferring the funds before the deal is official as I know that's happened to me before. They seem to be more confident in being able to better deal with any scammers and not about the risk as I'm certain they know how to deal with or are willing to go further with someone who scams them better then you or I do and that message probably gets around the market to.

JFYI If these people know you're a farang you're subject to different rules of the game so if you're dealing directly with them be prepared, otherwise you should have someone else deal with them on your behalf..

#4957555 Renting Out Uk Property While Living In Thailand

I have rented my house out for the last 7 years. Here is my advice. Get a good agent even if they cost a bit extra, you will sleep better here.  Letting is normally a min 6 months otherwise setting up costs eat into your profit too much. You can specify if you will alow pets, smokers etc. Put a few bit's of furniture in then you can rent it out as furnished, that way you can claim 10% ware and tare against your profit for tax purposes. Remember every day the house is empty between lets you will be liable for council tax.
Do not consider letting out via the council or "social security let's".  You agent will vet your potential tenants and should ask them for ref's maybe contact their empolyer etc. Good luck.

this has to be a joke don't let your home to a council or "social security let's"  with the current climate in the UK your comment is not only bigotry it is just dam sight rude you are assuming that all council tenants are bad and that all social security tenants are just as bad  don't you think it is about time you came back into the real world
