I use a large cable and padlock for all motorbike security parking problems.  I like so many others have learned the hard way.  Lock it up at all times, it can disappear right out from under your nose.

While using this lock on my bike, one night they tried to saw through the cable and only left scratches.  Another time a shop tried to take possion without giving back deposit.

I pack this lock in my travel bag when I go out of town and use on rental bikes.  Good Luck

In Topic: Jet Ski Scam Pattaya When Will It Stop

2012-03-22 20:18:03

Took a walk on beach sidewalk today about 130P.
Just to take in sights and try to see what scams if any were going on.  I did expect to see the jet ski scam but all was quite.
1.  At soi 5 a scene developed between a falang female 40 yr old and a young Thai man.  Thai appeared drunk and Thais were pushing him back and later the female attacked the Thai man.  I thought this could be a scam by provoking the female into a fight.  The jet skis all were sitting idle.

2.  Then the next "swim only area" but on the sidewalk as I was walking by a mid aged Thai female sitting on the bench seats.  She had a fold out display of falang passport type photos of FALANGS.  She was reviewing the whole lot.  Maybe fifty photos.

You might say this is off topic but maybe not.  As the scams and protecting those scams may be changing.  Just me and my over causous mind.

Thanks Jericatholick,
Maybe the moderator will close down that other worthless thread that has done little but to intemidate people and leave this one open as to try and fix the problem.

I wanted some constructive critizisum on this subject.

Thanks Soihoky for pointing out how dangerous this really is.  As if by viewing the mountain of info out there it wasnt obvious.

I am already disappointed that the best person for this job has not already stepped forward.  With all this instant messages being delivered to this individual and still nothing.  The ideal person would have been all over this.

With the lack of support on this subject I can only speculate that NOTHING will come of this effort and this type of problem will go on.  In the future this could jump from jet ski to side walk extortion.  WE will all suffer from NOT standing up to this scam.

If there were mass numbers showing up on the beach in a passive way, MAYBE this could come under control.
