It appears that all the evidence is litually being sweeped under the carpet, or in this case, descretely cleared away. The name of the game is, out of sight, out of mind and than forgotten.

Was there ever a thorough investigation? Did the foreign offices of the national’s concerned pressure the Thai authorities to conduct an investigation? Has anyone been brought to book over this? Have any of the victims families received justice? Somehow I doubt it.

This is all about cover-ups and what’s bad for business. Not many would want to stay in a hotel where a multitude of guests have died, so better to knock it down and start again, perhaps by the same outfit that owned the Downtown Inn?

Lots of questions with little or no answers, extremely tragic and sad for the innocent victims and their families, who have lost loved ones with no chance of receiving compensation or any answers as to why and how.

A totally disgusting state of affairs.

I suspect the mummies and daddies of the vast majority of TV members who have foreign wives are no longer walking this earth, and for that fact large numbers of TV members already have one foot in the grave themselves..

A crime against public transport?  What the hell kind of a law is that?  They are shooting guns, which is a crime normally, they shot someone, that is a crime normally.  What will this crime against public transport cover other than all the other laws on the books.  If I am shot sitting in a private car, does this make the crime less or more than on a public bus?  

Looking at the state of the bus, it probably is a crime against the paying customers to call it a bus anyway.

Shoot somebody dead and be booked on carrying a firearm and drugs...????... only in Thailand....is this a BiB tactic ?...ie book them on the lessor charge until they figure out if the culprit concerned is "connected"

While they're at it, regarding waste, why don't they start charging 7/11 for giving 2 plastic bags for 2 things bought?

The amount of plastic bag residue left around the natural areas of Thailand is a disgrace. The amount of plastic bags issued by Tesco Lotus, for example, is tantamount to negligence. You can buy 4 different classes of food and get upto 8 bags.

I usually make queueing people wait, take out and exchange my foods to the correct bags, frozen with frozen, veg with veg, toiletries and sanitores, and tinned foods with pre-packed foods etc and hand back half of what they issue to me, and say thanks but no thanks.

Toxic waste is a serious issue - but so are things like billions of plastic bags in the environment!
