I have just received a Non-Immigrant O Visa by marriage from the Consulate in London. I was previously on a Non Immigrant O Visa, then moved to one year extensions while in Thailand. Without going into details, the last extension expired and it was more convenient to get a new Non O while on a visit to the UK. I was planning to get a new job with WP using the new Non O but they have printed on it "Employment Prohibited". This was not printed on the last Non O I received a few years ago.  is it worth going back to the embassy on Tuesday to ask them to change this? (cannot make Monday). Problem is that my flight to BKK is on Wednesday.

I used to drive to Ban Laem for visa runs about 2 years ago but I have forgotten the exact location of the border crossing. I think I have marked it correctly on this map. Am I correct?  http://g.co/maps/fjp8c

My teacher's WP expires on 24 April and I have a flight booked back home on the 6 May. I don't want to change the date of my departure.

I am thinking of doing a visa run to Cambodia on 24 April to get a 14 day visa on arrival. I don't have a reentry permit for the existing visa.

This will cancel the existing visa and give me a new visa with the 14 days I need until 6 May.

Or can I only get a visa on arrival at an airport?

Up until recently my stay in Thailand was an extension to a non O based on marriage. This was accessed on income from UK property.

I have a job which I started last year under the old non O extension. The extension expired this week and I wanted to renew the extension rather than rely on a visa linked to the job. However, due to change in circumstances I could not renew my extension as my UK income has ended and the salary is below 40,000.

I have therefore now received a visa linked to the job. However, I am planning to leave the job within the next three months.  

Before I do so I would like to move back to the marriage based extension of stay. To do this I am planning to move 400,000 baht into a Thai bank account so that in 2 months I can apply for a new marriage extension of stay accessed on these savings.

Another possible option is to apply for a new Non O marriage visa when I am back in the UK in April.

Is there a process I need to follow to move from one visa to another?

Our new Pajero has been scratched by a vandal on the left front wing and front door. About 70cm long. Its not deep. Apart from a respray are there any other options available in Bangkok and vicinity.

If we did have a respray how long would they need the car? Whenever we have had a minor accident, the repair shop has always kept the car for a week. Would it be the same for a job like this (ie no body repair work)?
