Yes. As long as it is valid for the length of your stay.
Really??
I was told you need a passport with minimum 6 months validity to enter Thailand.

I did this last year with no problems. I renewed my passport while in Canada. Upon arrival in Bangkok, showed new passport and old one with retirement extension and re-entry permit. Immigration wrote in new passport next to entry stamp, and then you visit your local Immigration Office where they transfer everything over for free.

I also had a similar experience 3 days ago. I suspected a virus, but my anti-virus failed to pick anything up. I even ran a couple of virus removal programs and nothing was found. Fortunately Spybot Search and Destroy caught it. It was a worm, and could not remove it within Spybot's window, so had to delete the folder it was in. I changed my password as a precaution, and seems ok now.

They got the domain name renewed, and just in time for me to amend my earlier comment... turns out my speed problem was in the building, not the fault of TOT, and yet the guy they sent out to fix the problem demonstrated what could only be described as dogged determination to get to the root of the problem and fix it.  A very impressive performance.
You were very fortunate, as TOT's responsibility ends at the entry point into the building. Here at my condo, 3 times my line has been compromised by the management, but each time I got a friendly TOT tech to help out and so I was lucky too.
