Can anyone recommend a dentist in Pak Chong?
I need some difficult fillings attending to, and possibly root canal treatment. My wife had less than satisfactory treatment from one place in town a few months ago.
So I would be grateful if any residents of the area could recommend a good one.
Thanks.

Mobile Internet Alternatives Please Help
2012-02-12 21:29:46
I have a (usually) very good 3BB connection at home but I need some mobile facility when travelling around the country.
I used to use CAT CDMA which was good (allowing for restrictions) even in remote rural areas.
Is the new CAT 3G coverage area the same as the old CDMA, i.e. no signal in and around Bangkok?
I tried to find out from my local CAT office but they haven’t got a clue.
AIS 3G is an alternative around here but the coverage seems limited to select urban areas.
There may well be other options of which I am, as yet, unaware.
In short, which is better in terms of nationwide coverage, setup and running cost and general reliability?
Any advice gratefully received.

Does anybody know where I can get a legal copy of Windows XP?
Or Can it be downloaded cheaply?
All the computer malls I've been to just have windows 7...can it really have become extinct so quickly?

Battery Chargers
2011-09-10 09:48:09
I don’t use my car very often, about once every two weeks.
The other day the battery was flat for no apparent reason.
We live out in the sticks so I was thinking of buying a battery charger just to keep it topped up. I went into the town near where I live and all they had were expensive ones (would be cheaper to buy a new battery) or cheap ones which they assured me were not good enough for a car. Now to my mind a 12 volt charger will charge any 12 volt battery. Am I wrong?
I always assumed that the bigger ones just do it faster.
The last one I used was a very cheap looking thing I borrowed from a neighbour which worked perfectly well.
So can anybody who is using a cheap/small charger give any advice?

I Need A New Desktop
2011-08-29 21:55:58
My old laptop is about to die is so I am looking to replace it with a cheap desktop.
I have one big capacity desktop (my main machine) for downloading and storage and a netbook which I use when travelling.
I only use the old notebook for watching TV and movies which I download on the other machines.
I want to replace it with a custom built desktop, either new or assembled from some second hand components.
It does not need a big hard drive, but it would need to have a fast enough processor, sufficient ram etc.
Can anybody suggest what sort of specifications would be needed for a machine running something like Gom player, or VLC internet access and streaming TV?
Any advice gratefully received.
