Anyone Able To Match Vbulletin With Main Site?

2011-12-01 13:59:59

Just wondering if anyone reading this has a working knowledge of the vBulletin SW?  Basically, I want the forum to blend in seamlessly with the main site. Here's a summary of the details:

1. Forum uses my header (which is the same as main site)
2. Forum uses my forum background image
3. Forum has transparent background behind forum headers

That's it. This is just a cosmetic change to the appearance of the forum so that it blends in perfectly with the main site's theme. I'm guessing it's easier said than done having just experienced a total bodge-job from the last freelancer that had a go and failed miserably  :(

Cheers

Vehicle Touch-Up Paint / Pen

2011-10-23 11:24:39

Hi Forum

Got a few chips through to the metal on the ole Mountain bike, so would like to touch them up before the rust sets in. I've been to 3 bike shops (including a motorcycle dealer), but can't seem to find a touch-up pen, or even a little tin or enamel type paint of similar colour anywhere.

I do like to take care after my things, so any suggestions as to where I might look next much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Best Place To Get The Bike Washed

2011-10-16 15:12:08

Hi Forum,

IT'S A MUCKY OLE JOB BUT SOMEONE'S GOTTA DO IT!

Huay Kaew Road:  I used to use the petrol station on Huay Kaew Rd opposite The Lemon Tree restaurant. Recently they've got a new team in there and it doesn’t look as though they are encouraging the motorbike wash & polish service any more. I've nipped in there twice this past month, and the first time got the negative hand wave informing me that it cannot be done, and the second time I was told it would take over 2 hours despite their only being 3 cars in queue. So I'm thinking this new lot might want to promote cars and pickups and perhaps do away with bike wash.

Central Kad Suan Kaew:  I quite like the underground wash at Central Kad Suan Kaew. They charge 100 Baht for bikes (as opposed to 40-60 Baht at other places), but it's the best wash and polish I've ever had so don't mind the extra charge. Problem with this place though is that they'll only allow a bike if there are no cars lining up, and even if you tell them you can leave it and come back later, it's still a big NO if they think it's going to remain busy with 4 wheeled vehicles. Fair enough I suppose if that's where the profit is.

So, if anyone here can suggest a good local bike wash 'n' polish place with a waiting time no longer than 30 minutes on average, that would be great.

Thanks in advance

When Ink Costs More Than The Printer

2011-08-07 15:43:17

Hi Forum

In my ignorance, I bought a brand new printer for just 950 Baht thinking that I would be able to fit external ink wells to it once the first tiny sample cartridges ran dry. I'm well aware of the high cost of replacement ink, but assuming external ink wells could be fitted to any model, I didn’t think this was a problem.  Well, it is :(

Apparently there are certain models/brands where external ink can't be fitted.  So my question here is does anyone know which printers are able to fit these outside cartridges?

I don't print a lot so don't need a state of the art model but will spend around 2000+ Baht on something half decent if necessary.

So are there any happy campers out there who have been using a printer that uses external ink wells? If so please let me know make and model so that i can make a short list of options.

Thanks in advance

Air Conditioning System Thinks It'S A Heater!

2011-07-13 19:18:03

Hi Forum,

Just wondering if anyone here has a contact number for someone who services air conditioning units? The one in my lounge area has suddenly started to blow warm air into the room, so much so that it's actually cooler when I turn the bloody thing off.

If it wasn't for the other unit in the bedroom, I'd be sweating my bollocks of to the point of sever dehydration.  I don't want to reside in the bedroom during the daytime hours though, but the lounge has become just a bit too hot for comfort these past few days, especially of an afternoon and evening.

Thanks in advance
