A friend of mine who has an air ticket from Australia to Thailand and a return air ticket out of Thailand to Australia timed near the end of what would be the second leg of a double entry visa was refused a double entry visa because she did not have a flight or 'itinary' booked to take her out of Thailand at the end of the first 60 day grant.
She was granted a single entry Tourist visa for which she had no booked flight or itinary. Will she be allowed to board the plane by the airline for the outward trip?
This would appear to now make a casual visa run to Cambodia or similar an unacceptable option to the Thai Government for sustaining a double entry Tourist Visa.
All this at the Brisbane Thai consulate.

Three Weeks For Visitors Visa Normal For Australia
2010-11-05 10:58:49
I sent by EMS Three Weeks one day ago to the Australian Embassy Bangkok an application for a Visitors visa for my Thai wife, visit time required 6 weeks. To date have heard nothing, do I need to be checking up on this application, i.e. has it arrived at the Embassy etc? or is three weeks plus normal. Do I need to go Bangkok?
Now it is only three weeks to our proposed departure.
Any learned advice about this, (I know it is not a tea party).
Thanks in advance

Panasonic All In One
2010-08-27 16:06:03
I bought a Panasonic all in one printer scanner copier fax for 13,000thb in Rayong Big C Power Buy, after under two years of very very light us, when I turned it on the thing was dead, no lights on panel.
Went back to Power Buy who said could not help because over one year old (i.e. Power Buy do not provide service), but they say Panasonic have service station in Klaeng (50kms away) !!!!
Of course a little research found a proper Panasonic dealer in Rayong 5 Kms from Power Buy, took the machine to them they sent it to Panasonic who wanted 4500thb to fix it it, a brand new looking hardly used machine under two years old with a failed main board, obviously a standard situation for Panasonic. Possibly a great way of exploiting the lax consumer protection in third world countries, ship a container load of suspect product and look to make 30% extra revenue repairing it.
I have since established that the main board retails for 3000thb and Panasonic therefore wants 1500thb to fit it. Which takes 10 minutes.
Now I have ordered the board local man fit it for 500thb.
My Point, don't spend big money on a Premium brand and expect it to last longer then 2 years because it costs money, read the reviews a lot of the stuff that cost half the money from Canon, Samsung and Brother et al, getting great reviews, and I can't imagine being less reliable, I will not entrust big money for dream branding again.
Well it was the wifes' ideas !!!!!!,.................
