If anyone requires a quality caterer for a function I can recommend the one my wife found for our daughter's wedding. The set up was delightful and the food (all 7 courses) was excellent. In the past people have posted looking for caterers so if anyone wants details please PM me.

Sterling Account In Rachaburi

With the Nationwide now charging 2% for obtainig cash in Thailand I'm looking for an alternative. I am advised to open a sterling deposit account then transfer into my local bank account. I have been informed that the Bangkok Bank, Sam Yaek Wang Manao branch, near Ratchaburi can open a FCD account for me. I an told the charges for receiving sterling are .25% with a min of 200 baht and max 500. Can anyone tell me from experience if this works well, and any comments on this branch. I would be grateful for any info, thanks.

Topps Ratchaburi

After the demise in stocks of Western goods in Makro Kanchanaburi my visit to Topps Ratchaburi was a welcome surprise. The revamped Topps now has a wide selection of goods, though the prices may be a little on the high side. Helen, walking down the aisles my mouth was watering. English sausage, sausage meat, good selction of cold meats, Red Leicester Cheese, McVittie chocolate digestives (both plain and milk), ginger nuts, wide selection of Bisto gravies, Paxo stuffing, tins of han , luncheon meat, anchovies, marmite and allsorts of other things. Hope they will soon be stocking meat products from an English guy in Chiang Mai. He currently supplies lots of Topps outlets.
Wuould like to hear if anyone has any other good shops in the Kanchanaburi/Ratchaburi area.
