Humm...only like 10000 hotels in Bangkok...where to start.
Just stay well clear of Agoda, not included in price are taxes etc. They use the small print for that.

Something I found out when I used them for the booking and was not that pleased about BUT these booking websites now will drop every hotel that offers guests a lower rate in any form, so you won't overpay when booking through them. And the hotels certainly do not wish to be dropped...

Hopefully, this change put some strength back into Mr. Maeter.

I foresee more & more Western retirees moving to Asia, either because they want to or because of low pension payments they can no longer afford life in the West (although the falling Euro is making things more expensive now). It would be nice to have retiring villages, nursing homes and hospices geared for that type of clientele.

We got to listen to Led Zep, Pinkl Floyd, Roxy Music, Steely Dan and Springsteen growing up and they get Justin Beiber and Lady bloody Gaga!

This is an unfair comparison. Not all people in a generation listen to the same music and there was plenty of awful shlock back in the 60's & 70s and there is still plenty of good stuff around now... and I'm 50, btw, so not anywhere near the current pop-consumming age.

At least she didn't say anything about wanting to see ladyboys or visiting a gay go-go bar to see some ****  Posted Image

I had first encountered her music in Asia. I was in Phnom Penh at the happening Blue Chili bar and the drag performers were doing their lipsynch acts. This Western guy had picked "Just Dance", which I had never heard before but boy did I hear it then! The room just erupted on the chorus, it was on a scale of what Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" had done to people in the 90s. I knew right there & then that she was going to be huge. It was a great musical moment for a music lover like me and she's been "on my good side" ever since (even though I find her last album cover nausea inducing).

Better keep all the buffaloes and trucks that are certain they can beat the train off the tracks then!
