That same logic can be applied to every consumer good under the sun. Do you also buy freshly cut trees to carve your own furniture? Do you buy cotton to make your own clothes? Both of those would would save you heaps more money than just going to the store and buying pre-made items. Does that mean you're just lazy?
Its really about convenience, I guess.. Just as you probably lack the time and the skills necessary to convert raw cotton to thread, weave it to cloth and then stitch your own clothes, the same concept applies to other people when it comes to preparing food.
Some of us are not old retirees, with nothing better to do that waste our time cooking elaborate dinners while we wait to die. Some of us have full time jobs where we put in 60, 80 hours a week and/ or don't know how to cook. Sure I could squander what precious little free time I have left over in the week to try to prepare a casserole. But I'd much rather drop a little coin on a pre-made one and be able to dedicate my remaining free time to more meaningful pursuits.

Well said also some people just don't like to cook and some people don't have kitchens. I think a poll on who has a kitchen and who dosen't would give Sparkles a surprise. At a guess I would say half. Maybe I would be the surprised one.
I am retired and was talking to a friend who is still working and saving up to retire in the distant future. I just had to laugh and tell him I am already there. I did not retire to continue cutting corners every where I could or to miss out on a lot of things that I enjoy. If I want to go out and enjoy a good meal I will. If I want to get some precooked things that I can throw in a microwave oven I will.
But I will not do some thing I don't like just to save money.

Sometimes I wonder how much people have going on in their lives in this city?

Do holders of ED Visas pay 1,900 baht every 90 days, or do they not pay? I would like to hear from people who actually have and use their ED Visas right now and not second hand, "I heard that someone said that they knew somebody who met a guy"...etc info. Thanks.
Was on education visa last year.
You enter the country and at the first 90 days you pay the B1900 to extend to 1 year visa.
From that point you have to check in every 90 days and doesn't cost anything but time.
Before your first year is up, if you decide to continue to study and go the ED visa route the school should submit paperwork and you go through the same process again, except for having to initially leave the country.
1 caveat: that's how it is supposed to work. Should the school make a data entry error on the paperwork as happened to me, the first 90 day becomes only a 90 day extension and you get to pay again at the next 90 day to extend for the year. My point being, you should only have to pay B1900 once per year, but things do happen.

I would wish you luck on your venture, but you don't believe in luck just self promotion. Otherwise how could someone be fluent in so many languages, expert surfer, Business, guru, now videographer.
sounds more like a jack of all trades master of none.
I don't know what it is about you that really gets under my collar, but I must admit that I find you and your self promotion annoying.
Perhaps put links of your video expertise on here so we know how good you really are.

Well, just kidding.
Yes, there are many filmakers and groups dedicated to film making in CM. Most that I know don't use mac though. Final cut is a good program but I must admit that I am totally addicted to After Effects, so I tend to use the Adobe products.
As for film school, is it filmmaking or editing? Two unrelated skills.
For those that are actually interested and don't want to spend one baht and still want to learn a lot. Look into the free tutorials offered by creative cow, and video copilot. Some of the tutorials are incredible.
