I belong to the Audible book club. I love listening to good books while driving. I am very disappointed with the new Garmin units. Both of my older Nuvi units (750 and 855) have a 3.5 mm audio jack plus they both play MP3 and Audible format books. Both also have FM transmitters. As far as I am concerned, Garmin has gone backwards. It appears that I will be using my older Nuvi units until they die.

During a trip back to the US, I took a touchscreen smartphone. I thought I could get by with it for a few weeks. After a week or so I was sick of it, I stopped in a computer store and bough the first reasonably priced netbook that I saw. I happened to be an HP Mini for $300. The 10 inch display is still a little small but it beats the hell out of the smartphone. It has WiFi and USB ports as well as a memory stick slot.
Tablet screens are fragile and by the time you buy a case to protect the screen, it will be not much different size wise from the netbook except for the tablet lacking the netbook features. I am of the opinion that a mouse and keyboard are MUCH superior to a touch screen. I avoid anything Bluetooth because of shortened battery life.

I still have a dual core processor with 4 GB of RAM. I upgraded to a new computer with a quad core processor and 8 GB of RAM. On occasion I use Autocad and Photoshop and those are the hungriest programs I use.
Quite frankly I feel I have pretty much wasted the money because the difference between the two machines is hardly noticeable. The old one is 32 bit Win 7 Pro and the new one is 64 bit Win Ultimate.
Most of my time is spent on the Internet and I can see no difference between the two. I'm not a gamer so the extra power is a waste.

I doubt that alignment will help anything. I think the road noise comes from the tires. My Ford Focus now suffers from more road noise since the tires are older and have apparently gotten harder. A new set of softer tires will likely solve most of the problem. As for me, I just turn the stereo up a bit.
My pickup truck was quite noisy. The tires still had at least half the tread remaining. When I noticed that I had lost a lot of traction on wet roads I bought a new set. On the way home, I thought I was in a new truck. My imagination? I don't think so.
