Well some good news to pass along about immigration on my departure from Phuket the other day,
My 30 day entry stamp expired on May 5th,
My departure flight to China time was 02:00am on May 6th,
so I figure I get to airport at 11pm on May 5th figure check in get stamped out of Thailand all before midnight so no overstay fine.
But Shanghai airlines counter (all thai airways staff) not open until 12:15am on May 6th,
Girl at counter tells me I need pay 1 day overstay, I say i here but you not open she say I need pay grrrrr.....
Get to immigration departure stamp area Mr smiley face (not) tells me go over and pay 1 day fine...
Don't  I get a 1 day grace period? "No Go Pay Fine"
Proceed to fine pay area,man there VERY NICE as was I and after a bit of a high level conference was returned passport,
With smile and handshake he say ...
"You not need pay overstay only 30 minutes you not need pay"
and was sent on my way...good news for sure...

Does this mean the belly scratchers snoozing watching TV in the Bamboo huts,
Hanging out front of the resorts all around the island are gonna get real jobs now???
Abandon thier roadside bungalows??
Hmmm I wonder?

Just moved into a really nice house on the road to Promthep cape from Rawai beach...
love the house shaded front with balcony and big enclosed back yard ..
but
The rode too the cape is soo noisy from tour buses and Thai guys racing up and down the hill on there chain saws (motorbikes) with no mufflers  why can't they drive like normal people not to mention the falang crotch rockets you can here them coming from the turn at Rawai beach??.. nobody obeys any traffic laws here and have not seen a police car EVER around here its terrible..
the BIG buses start at about 1pm and are non stop until after sunset. most of them not even 1/2 full..
saw one big bus passing another big bus on the road yesterday??? both going the same place so whats the hurry?? loud as hell i can not even sit out front as i get so pissed off.....
loads of black soot blowing out the back as well...NICE
don't motor vehicles here have some sort of emissions or noise test they have to pass to be on the road??
now even when i go out and about im more sensitive too the noise here...ITS EVERY WHERE...
nothing can do except move again i guess??
hope i can find a quiet place someplace on Phuket...

Was down the beach end of the lake today.
They have totally blocked of the sea from the lake.
The umbrellas have already taken over the new beach created there.
used to be a nice swimming hole there when conditions were correct..
now that end of the lake is destroyed.
anybody know what the construction is all about ??  

Blue baby boy ballons needed any ideas or locals??
Local bars have them all the time but not helium and use there own air compressor...hmmmmm
