I had a bypass in 1993. In the UK I had an MRI on my left shoulder in about 2000, I can't remember any problems in having it.
Now I want an MRI on my right shoulder, suspected Rotator Cuff problem. My wife phoned Urupong Medical Centre only to be told that they couldn't do it because I still have my chest wires in ... I think three lots of wires.
Any views on this please..........thanks

Smart Phone And Provider Questions
2012-05-06 16:56:01
Guys, I haven’t had a smart phone before so know little about them. Now both our phones are at least nine years old so I could justify changing one.
I’ve had a look around and am seriously considering the Samsung Galaxy Note. From what I think I understand from sellers, it seems that there are two models, one suitable for DTAC and TRUE, the other one suitable for AIS and once you have chosen provider you can’t change . Is this correct and which model is suitable for which supplier please?
The phone is 16GB internal memory but you can add up to a 32GB chip, does having the extra chip slow down web browsing, some sellers say it does and some it doesn’t. Some say AIS is better and some say TRUE is better.
The web use would mainly be when travelling around Thailand, picking up e-mails and booking accommodation etc. So which supplier has the wider coverage? My house phone is TOT so ISP is also TOT. Is it possible to use the house WIFI, or hotel WIFI to access the internet via the phone? If so which suppliers have this access in their package please.
Thanks

I May Be Out Of Work For A Period

My friend teaches at a university in Thailand, he is married to a Thai and they were married in the UK some years ago, they have a child and a house here. My friend is not old enough for a retirement visa.
It looks like he will be out of contract soon and as yet hasn't secured another post. He is doing some private work but is not sure how that counts for a Work Permit.
So what are his options short term please, his wife also teaches in a Uni and is reasonably well paid.
His is thinking about a Marriage Vise but I don't think that he has 400,000 baht in a bank account. At at present he earns a reasonable salary. He also thinks that for this visa he needs to marry again in Thailand ... I said don't think so, you can't marry if you are already married ...just get your UK marriage certificate transulated into Thai.
Opinions .....Thanks

Guys
My son who is in the UK has the iPAD (the new one). On occasions he will want to be able to use a VPN when away from the UK.
So he must need something like ExPatShield. Is there anything available in that line for the iPad please. There must be people over here who would, on occasions also like to use a VPN with an iPad.

Sunburn And Rash

So I took my wife to Koh Surin and she did a lot of snorkling over three days, mainly lying face down and apparantly did not apply any suntan cream on the back of her legs. On the boat back to the mainland I wondered why she stood all the way!
We then drove to Khao Lak and thats when I learnt that she had burnt the back of her legs. Next morning a rash developed which seems to get less in the day but worse at night.
It's now a week since we left Koh Surin and she still has the rash and has been applying an anti alergy cream and liquid Yar Maung. I'm getting a bit concerned now as I know it itches a lot so would like to take her to a skin doctor at a hospital.
Recommend please doctor or hospital or both ......................thanks
