I'm wanting to register a UTF 8 Thai character website domain, something like www.เว็บไซต์.com. I know these exist / possible to do, but don't know where to register. I normally use Godaddy for registrations, but they don't support this.

Anyone else done this, and can recommend a registrar?

A friend from Denmark has a slingbox in his house there, which he has set up for watching Danish TV.

He would like to be able to record sports events that come on during the wee hours of the morning in Thailand, for viewing at a more sensible hour.

Anyone know how to do? What software to use that actually works? How to set up? Any tips and advice greatly welcomed!

Since it seems inevitable that Bangkok is about to become a huge open sewer, Ms. Bino and I have taken the initiative to "self-evacuate". Even though our condo in Lad Prao / Wangtonglang is on the sixth floor and will be safe, the electrical and telephone service room is on the ground floor, and will not survive a meter of water for sure. The whole concept of being trapped in the building with no electricity, internet, etc and having to slog through the water to go anywhere or get anything is a non-starter for us. We have locked up our condo, and will be "out of town" for the duration.

We are staying in Sam Roi Yod, Pranburi - a few minutes south of Hua Hin. The villas in the picture are brand new- a new phase to an already existing project - and unused until Christmas week when the European tourists arrive for high season. There are 1,2 and 3 bedroom villas, each with full kitchens and a Jacuzzi on the rooftop patio of each villa. There is decent restaurant and facilities on the property. The owner / developer is a big hearted guy, and offering prices cheaper than the average Bangkok hotel room for anyone who needs to escape the flood. Many villas available. The headphones that are included really suck. They don't seem to fit in my ears properly and always fall out. The sound quality when playing music ain't that great either.

I really liked my Nokia headphones- they were comfortable, and sounded ok. On a whim I tried them in the Samsung, and they don't work worth a d*mn. Nor do any "conventional" earphone sets that don't have a mike for the telephone.

So- wanting to know if anyone can suggest a decent replacement for the stock Samsung earphones. Went looking in Fortune, and everything is sealed in Plastic, so don't want to go the "trial and error" route!

I'm needing a large format scanner- B4 size at minimum, or A3 would do also. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing them anywhere. Everyone now sells the "all in one" printer / scanner / copier units that can only effectively deal with A4 / smaller sizes.

Does anyone know where I can find a bigger scanner?
