In Topic: Cheapest Flight Out Of Thailand To Anywhere

I fly out of Australia to Thailand two or three times a year with a valid Thai re-entry permit coupled to my Retirement Extension.
But, often have NO ticket out of Thailand to show.

Given that the re-entry and the extension have a 'Valid To' date and may be close to the flight I'm about to take, am I taking a risk here in being denied boarding?
Or, does the fact that I have a re-entry permit and extension give me right to travel and be admitted, regardless that they may be about to expire with no further guarantee of permission of stay. (or, is this just a bit hard for the airline staff to get a grip of and once they see the re-entry and extension dated into the future......they consider one or both these a VISA?

Could I try this ? again.

To make more concise, with a Re-entry Permit or Retirement Extension does the question arise that you still should have a flight booked out of Thailand, if these stamps in your passport may be due to expire?
I know Jetstar in Australia are very strict on this 'Flight Out' requirement for normal travellers, but wondering if anyone has struck the situation I have described above?

I've taken them once (BKK to KK) and I swore to myself I'd never take them again.
They treat their passengers like they're (the passengers) were retards.
Never again... I'd rather walk.
Sorry I can't give you any more info re your original question/thread. Look for alternatives is all I can say.

Would be good with a post such as yours to be more descriptive as to what problem you 'actually' found.
Your answer provides no real answer to the question whatsoever.
I've been travelling Thailand for many years, mainly by bus, and have no idea what you are on about.

is a website for people that hate Air Asia. Join the club, compare the prices.

Something to keep on the 'back-burner'

I've on this forum been mainly in praise of A.A., but at the same time had a go at them at times as well.

Be interesting to see how the predictions that they are in 'trouble' play out.

Must say though with their recent sale, it was much easier to get onto and use their site.
Now, was this because they may have improved their I.T. systems due to previous complaints, or............Are people not using them as enthusiastically as before. I think in a couple of days of playing around with deals, I was only seconded to their 'Waiting Room' once! Whereas in the past sales it was a bloody pain to get a booking done in an hour sometimes.

Don't doubt that travel is down a tad at present due to the looming crisis in Europe and the probable fact that many are keeping their funds close to their chest, but it will be very interesting to look at Air Asia this time next year?

Several hours later now since my last post,  just booked 4 (yes four) return tickets Bangkok / Singapore for a total cost of A$534, (around THB16000)

That includes seat selection and 20K luggage each.

So not "Lying Buggers" at my address.
