This is a very confident personal recommendation for an experienced Thai female PA who I can see would add huge value within a foreign-owned company. I've employed several educated (international) Thais over the last 6 years but based on intelligence, logic, reliability and lateral thinking this is the only one I'd recommend. She currently works in a Thai manufacturing company which is shrinking and takes on an ever increasing array of responsibilities including foreign Account Management, purchasing, shipping, stock control and management decision-making.
The usual top 5 Uni degree, brilliant English, relevant experience (purchasing, fraud prevention, sales co-ordination) roles as well as PA to CEO are on the CV but this candidate has an extra unusual quality of being highly proactive and a quick intelligent problem-solver - the type of stuff I think is very hard to find. Definitely more "international" in her thinking and methods, she would now prefer to work for a foreign company or MD/CEO in Bangkok and needing a salary of between 45 and 50K to make her move.
I've employed rich Chula girls who are quick, but have poor integrity. This one had it all. PM me for CV and contact directly with candidate.

Mr Balance Update
2012-01-19 05:16:16
Hi guys, I'm in need of some nice new speakers (this time to be shipped over to UK if the price is good) and just wonder if anyone's been to Mr Balance (Pantip Plaza) recently and seen anything nice? Particularly looking for Usher, Martin Logan or Thiel.
Cheers

Interest Check: Badminton Coaching Anyone?
2011-10-06 05:36:28
Hi, I'm just doing a little research to see if there is any interest in badminton coaching in Bangkok. This could be one to one, small group or for international schools. Since playing there I've yet to coeme across an English-speaking coach (or indeed any foreigner) wonder if this could be a part-time job opening for me.
Levels would be beginner to confident gameplayer, and average up to league/competitive standard. Badminton-related fitness exercises, tactics, serving and strokes would be the main areas.
Have you come across any coaches or people asking about coaching? What would you consider a fair price per hour to be: + or -500 baht?

Second Hand Speaker Cables In Bangkok
2011-10-06 05:26:40
Hi guys, I'm stuck abroad for a while and importing my hi-fi from Thailand back to UK soon. I just wonder if Mr Balance (or anyone else) have any top notch speaker or interconnects for sale. He usually does..so has anyone been there recently? Prices are pretty reasonable for the cables he used to sell, despite the exchange rate.
I'm thinking along the lines of MIT, Siltech etc. Also wonder if he has any interesting speakers in: Sonus Fabers, Ushers, Martin Logans perhaps?
Any noseyness would be great :-)

Using K-Cyber Banking From Abroad
2011-05-08 02:51:13
I've been using Kasikorn's K-Cyber Banking for a year and fairly recently accessing it from UK for online money transfers. To do anything you need the automatic SMS containing codes, but I'm not getting any....so I can't do anything online! Back in December they did arrive instantly so online banking was no problem. Has something changed?? Is there any other way round it apart from the SMS route?
To get the SMS I use my Thai SIM on roaming. Still get the usual AIS promo SMS through, but none from Kasik.
