You're right there Stevie....I will still enjoy the games but it would be better to see teams come to the tournament and play their own style of football, rather than generic defensive stuff.

Back to earth after two or three games I suppose...

As your lot aren't in it Smokes. Who are you going to be rooting for. Apart from ABE Posted Image

One prominent forum member used to own there but sold up a while back when he became aware that the market/bar area was to be developed. He has commented about the place before and may do so again.

Are they still having hassle at the bars. Earlier this year the Police were closing them down early and there was talk of the landlord not having permission to open bars. Or was it a typical flash in the pan clamp down?

Mamma mia! Mario Balotelli puts Manchester on the map as Italian tourists flock to the city

Italian tourists arriving in Britain are being handed phrase books so they can understand local sayings.

The book is the brainchild of an airline boss and comes after a surge in the number of Italians visiting the country – and Manchester in particular.

It follows the success of Italian football manager Roberto Mancini and striker Mario Balotelli in leading Manchester City to their first top-flight league title in 44 years.

Mancunian phrases include ‘City gave United a drubbing’ – ‘City le ha date di santa ragione United’ Posted ImagePosted Image
