As someone who has paid taxes all my life and now self-employed and well aware of people who leave the UK to avoid paying taxes but soon come running back when the need medical care I for one would be happy for the UK government to introduce compulsory NIC class 2 (£2.65PW/£137.80PA) to all UK passport holders who pay no other form of NIC regardless where they are in the world and refuse to renew passports until holders are up to date with payments.

I do not anticipate this will make much diference to the visa application process but there will be a change of management at the top.

Just been to their web site...
Last bulletin is March 16th 2009 "Balconies enclosed above the 50th level", and the Latest news is even older, announcing the arrival of the Concrete batching plant.
Just looked opened CAM1, looks like the concrete batching plant has gone along with the corrugated fence on the west side of the site.
No, just looked a CAM2 it is still there, looks like the camera has been moved over the road to VTR3, had heard the residents at VTR1 & 2 had been getting a bit militant recently and declaring UDI.
Anyone got any news?
