While you can be unlucky flying with Air Asia or with any airline I really dont think they do such a bad job.

In the last 5 years I have flown with them over 30 times and have never experienced any major delay more than 15 minutes or any other problem. And most of the flights has been very cheap like under 500 baht besides the mandatory airport taxes. And this is both for thai domestic and international flights to Cambodia, Vietnam, Phillippines, Singapore and Malaysia.

I am aware that they are not always so cheap when you book a few days before departure.

You are right. Agodas list rates are often invented by Agoda and has nothing to do with reality. I have seen this many times and sometimes you can also get a cheaper walkin rate than agodas. Agoda likes to advertise large discounts that are not discounts. It is probably a marketing trick.

You can compare prices from many hotel booking engines with hotelscombined dot com. There Agoda will often come out as the cheapest option.

I have also experienced rigged meters at downstairs taxi line. Me and my family got 2 taxis and both had meters that were running more than 50% too fast.
I also believe normal taxis are not allowed to join the taxi line downstairs. There is some kind of membership.

A so called virus of the ear balance system can make you lose balance. I have tried that myself. If you really have it bad you cannot even walk but only crawl.

Anti motion sickness medicine may help some.

But I think Chalerm only made that up.
