I have a double entry tourist visa, 2x60 days. I'm on my second entry now and still have a couple of weeks entry stamp left ("admitted until"). The visa itself, however, expired two weeks ago (meaning the "must be utilized before" date), and obviously both entries are used now.
Am I correct that I can pay 1900 baht and apply for 30 days extension of STAY now, right, and the 30 days would be added to my allowed stay, effectively making this period a full 90 days before I have to exit? And this extension is not connected to the expiry of the VISA…?
I'm not a newbie and should know the visa rules by now, but getting an extension is something new to me. There are so many sites that talk about extending the visa (including the info page here on Thaivisa) instead of extending the stay that I'm getting all confused with this basic issue… or have I misunderstood some fundamental issues here?
Thank you for your help in advance!
