A youth in Phuket was recently (read: soon 2 weeks ago) sentenced to 1 month in jail for overstay.
The overstay was in the range of briefly over 1 year and it was the second time he was caught doing it.
(First time only meant 6 days in immigration detention before money for flight-ticket was arranged.)
So please everyone, take notice. He, and his friend that also was caught on overstay, went with the same attitude as some other posters here, counting that 20k at the airport was a cheap price and that no-one would ever be sentenced for it. They, as it was now proven, were wrong. And so is anyone here claiming that overstay isn't so serious.
//Edit: According to this later post by TAWP, the Swede in question was working without a work permit . -- Maestro

Drug Test And Home Test Kit
2011-11-06 18:19:28
Hi,
I have, sofar and seemingly, successfully coached someone to quit their Ice (Crystal Meth) habit. While the kick was quick the followup has to be rigid and fully.
To help with that, now 3 months after ending this, I have a need to use a proper drug test to test if the person is still abstaining. (A drug-user is often an expert in hiding in.)
So the question is:
- Any clinics here that do proper drug tests? Including hair-sample (drug has a 90 day trace range in hair) apart from standard urine test?
- Does any clinics sell the basic 'home tests'? (I.e. strip one dips in urine etc.)
Thanks in advance.

Read the title.
Just wondering why very minor goggle-gock is sometimes reported in the world news forum but a major event in Norway, Europe...is not. In over 8 hours sofar.

Don'T Have Cue System In Australia?
2011-06-11 16:04:09
At a local Tesco store in Huai Kwang. Finished picking our stuff together and me and my gf approaches the cashiers.
Notice that there is a decent line but that another cashier is opening another one. So I walk to it and start to unpack.
At this moment an, I think Australian, girl (28-30) walk up to us from the other cue "Excuse me, we have been standing here for aaaages.". My girlfriend don't even lock up, we just continue to unpack, she merely retorts with "well, we walked here when they opened the cashier. or so.
The pear-shaped girl walks back to her equally unattractive female friend in the other cue, while several other shoppers start to cue up behind us -- most of them previously located behind her and her friend in the other cue.
What is it about a cue-system that is hard to understand for some people?
Do the do the same in an even bigger super-market, run across 5 cashier-lines to a newly opened one and demand to be let infront since they have stood in their line for long?
