Strange Farang Hippie

Have been noticing this foreign Caucasian (can't tell what Nationality) walking around town these past few weeks. Looks like a wandering bum. So far I have not seen him with a shirt on. Even walked into our office one day and was rather incoherent. Saw him again across the street with a basket of stuff. He hitched the basket up a tree and seemed to be talking to the tree. He wears boots (almost like military issue boots), has long filthy looking dark colored hair.

This guy looks like he needs help.

Last time I saw him was somewhere near Si Yeak Clinic Moh Phira - Hang Chaoren Office.

International Cycling Competition (01-10 April, 2012)

I have been taking photos of this race for a few days now and have posted a few shots under Images of Chiang Rai. I find it strange that nobody has even mentioned it here. The race is not on its 4th stage (today 05 April). Tomorrow, the last stage for the men's division will be held. Thereafter, the women's division will start. More than 20 teams from all over the world are participating (Kazakstan, Uzbekistan, Syria, Vietnam, Australia (winner of prologue), New Zealand (winner of 3rd Stage), Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Denmark, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Hongkong, Brunei.

Nasal Decongestant

Since pseudo-ephedrine based nasal decongestants have been taken off pharmacies in Thailand, my pharmacists insist on having me take anti-histamines. Problem is that it makes me drowsy and it is not that effective for me. I need another type of nasal decongestant that is not an Anti-histamine.

My pharmacists said that going to the government hospital to ask for a prescription for pseudo-ephedrine is a criminal waste of time.

Any suggestions?

Defecating On National Tv

I was surprised to see a footage broadcast today on Thai TV of a man (tribal person) who had his pants down, was squatting and there was a pile of packets under him. Then I say liquid squirting in front of him! I realized he was being forced to defecate packets of drugs that was probably up his anus (how it got there I did not quite get), and that he urinated while in the process of expunging his valuable and dangerous cargo. The footage that followed was of a person with rubber hand glove washing down these packets in a lavatory.

Really bizaar to see this on National TV.
