#5289329 Protein Drinks

Posted glbv on 2012-05-10 19:03:18

Im a very strong user of protein powder. I currently import Optimum whey (carmel toffee fudge, cookies and cream, cake batter), Dymatize (XT Blueberry, Bannana nut, Elite Chocolate), Xtreme Formulations (Cinnabun), and a few others but these are the staples.

My protein in take is about 200g a day atm and its a bit boreing to reach that purely from whole foods on a day to day basis.

The benefit you will get? You are getting extra protein, 1 scoop of Optimum or dymatize is about = to 100g raw skinless boneless chicken breast.
There are NO magical effects from protein, it is NOT needed to drink after a workout and meal timing is largely irrelevant.

If you are truely interested in how much protein you intake a day count what you eat. This is difficult eating out unless its a steak or something.

I cannot post the site that I use for my supplements cause apparently its not ok to help members get cheaper supplements but it is ok to advertise whores.

A few years ago I had surgery.

I was glad the Dr. had an education.

I am glad he didn't cut me open and try to identify the parts and see what he could take out.

#5202987 Cat Bit And Hit Me

Posted IanForbes on 2012-04-09 11:52:44

If you are at all worried then just go to any pharmacy and ask for some antibiotics. Bites are not usually infectious. Claw scratches might be if the cat is a hunter and kills rats and mice.

I would be a little more worried if you were bitten and clawed by my cat... But he doesn't usually leave any remains afterwards.

#5203962 Whitney Houston Was Found Face Down In A Bath Of Scalding Water

Posted evadgib on 2012-04-09 17:33:16

Whitney Houston's (49) death, while a sad thing, was the direct result of very unwise life choices yet it dominated the news.

Charlie Sheen is 45 and his story is all over the news because he is a substance abuser, an adulterer, sexually promiscuous and obnoxious.

Lindsay Lohan is 24 and her story was all over the news because she is a celebrity drug addict and thief.

Amy Winehouse’s (28) story was all over the papers and rammed up our noses (pun intended) as she was a singer, a ‘celebrity’ and a substance abuser.

Something as frivolous as the talentless Kim Kardashian's (31) wedding [and short-lived marriage] was shoved down our throats.

While the following:

Justin Allen 23
Justus Bartett 27
Zachary Fisher 24
Christopher Goeke 23
Matthew Johnson 21
Brandon King 23
Brett Linley 29
Jesse Reed 26
Dave Santos 21
Sheldon Tate 27
Matthew Weikert 29...

are all British Royal Marines who recently gave their lives. There is no media for them; scarcely even a mention of their names.

It is now the period of the 30th anniversary of the Falklands War in which not only did 258 everyday people (3 civilians and 255 military) give their lives but also increasingly survivors of that conflict, and many more before and since, are increasingly suffering the after effects of same.

Lest we forget.

#5186499 Army Chief Says Thailand Facing 3,000 Militants, Urges Public To Not Panic

Posted dude007 on 2012-04-02 22:51:05

Thais are always making the same mistake.  They barely think in two dimensions: "Thais" and "non-Thais"...

If Thais acknowledge that these people in the South are not Thai originating, why don't Thailand give them back their "cultural" independency as a first step to reconciliation (I am afraid to use this word as I feel that this word is wrongly understood in Thai), despite everthing that has been wrong in the past...  KRUE SE, TAK BAI... The killing is asking for killing: sow wind and you will harvest storm... and that's now what's happening!

Their case is right: THEY DO NOT FEEL THAI (and they never felt THAI) so acknowledge this and give them a certain independency starting with total cultural independency... The same mistake is made with the hilltribes in Northern and North-West Thailand.  They were here LONG before the Thais came but they have seen their land taken and their freedom dashed.  Now they are considered as cattle: even not a citizenship from the country they have been living in for centuries...  in fact THEIR country!

wrong wrong wrong...  The Government is 100% wrong!  Reboot your tablet computer and start thinking in a normal humanitarian way!

#5186338 Army Chief Says Thailand Facing 3,000 Militants, Urges Public To Not Panic

Posted Unkomoncents on 2012-04-02 21:32:37

Of course everyone's going to stay calm.  The h#ll does this have to do with anyone who's not in Hat Yai?  This is the military speaking the language of power, paranoia, and coups.  For those who see Thailand as different from Burma, take note.  The fear of panic is probably the most frequently used justification for the excessive (or just inexplicable) use of violence in the Kingdom.  If the military wanted to just shoot red shirt protestors, why didn't they do it BEFORE the red shirts destroyed central Bangkok.  The Thai military is like a wet firecracker: dangerous but completely nonsensical and unpredictable (how many Thai soldiers died in Blackhawk Helicopter crashes in the last two years; that's one of the single most reliable military vehicles in the US arsenal ; if they crashed, they didn't know how to fly the helicopter) .  Most of the world thinks of Thailand as the friendly land of smiley faces.  They never see the Thai concept of justice: "If he not shut his mouth, we shut it for him."

#5170907 Racism Against Farangs

Posted wana on 2012-03-28 10:59:40

most poor thais have a deep belief that all farangs have unlimited money

if you continue trying to live like this ,you will find yourself  in these situations all the time

thais often ask me how much rent i pay ,how much i paid for my motorcycles , what job i

do and how big is the  salary ? :)

i use govt hospitals but i pay about 500 thb to see a doctor there ,i know if you some farang  have a house book

can get a place on the 30 thb medicial care scheme but i think that should be reserved for the

ones who really need it ,you will never be accepted in amongst the poorest thais because youre a farang and youre there
by choice since you could "easily afford to change lifestyle and eat in the better restaurants etc "

they are not priviledged and in general ,thais will try and climb UP the social ladder if possible (not downwards ) like you are
doing :)

you wil just have to get used to some misunderstandings living a life outside the box

#5162712 Family Of Man In Skytrain Scuffle Threatened

Posted phosphorescent on 2012-03-25 09:28:33

If you are white and in Thailand, at all times you should walk around nervously in a quivering mess worried about possibly offending a Thai person and if it should ever happen, you should immediately fall to the ground in tears grovelling, begging for forgiveness and apologising for the fact that you are white in this wonderful country. If these steps are followed, you can nervously go about your day knowing that your family will be safe.

Once again,

Here is the danger of losing your temper in Thailand.

Now this family is being intimidated. All because this man created a confrontation. It's stupidity on his part. Who, with any knowledge of Thailand, would seriously consider causing a confrontation over a bunch of balloons?

Yes the assault was over the top, but let it be a lesson to everybody.

Don't fight in Thailand, don't be aggressive in Thailand, don't look for confrontation.

You will pay a price like you cannot believe, just as this guy has done.
Wow you really make assumptions, But we know one fact . Thais Are not so calm and placid with the fake smiles  Mafia tendencies come out threatening family members , they have as many racists thugs, and trigger happy "law enforcement?" officials   as other countries, probably more in bangkok

Posted Reasonableman on 2012-03-25 08:41:15

Wasn't this all done to death yesterday? The hounds are still baying for blood today? Give it a rest, FGS. The family has been threatened, and yes the threat should be taken seriously. Are you happy now? Is it enough, or do you want them all to live in fear, or be run out of the country? Is that justice? Is that reasonable punishment for an altercation about freakin balloons? Take a good look at yourselves in the mirror before disparaging others. If you have never made a mistake or done something illegal, then cast your stone.

#5155613 Bangkok's Street People - The Hunger For A Home

Posted ivan96822 on 2012-03-22 15:25:05

Regardless of their issues, the homeless shouldn't be ignored.

Some choose it, some embrace it, some can't avoid it. Whatever the case, they are human beings and need some level of support.

I saw a woman on Soi 4 sleeping face down in a gutter for hours....woke up, ate lunch, went to bed, she was still lying there in front of a 7-11.

I asked the tuk-tuk drivers if she needed help and they looked at her disdainfully as though she were a piece of garbage....

Regardless of their scenarios, they have families, mothers, sons, ...... treat them decently.
