Put  visa in 22/2/2012 got email today to go and get medicals for for mrs,daughter,nephew,and have been appointed case officer,they did say that i will recive contact from case officer,within 12 weeks and visa could take 12 months,not sure if this is the norm, but i think its quick.

Yeah have we put the visa in,cost for visa this month was 65,000bt plus 1800bt, for their service charge.
that was for the wife, step daughter of 10yrs and nephew,seemed to have everything will know in 6 weeks when we are suppose to get a call from case officer.
I wil give updates on probs and time frame,we have been together for 10yrs plus we have a 4yr old son ,thai/oz ..nephew has been with us for 4yrs we have proof and stat decks,he maybe a factor for a slower procedure.

Each thursday from 2pm to 4 someone comes from the oz emabassy to answer in person any questions you may have.at CC TOWER 34TH FLOOR
I asked about the nephew who lives with us being added on, at first she said no, then rang her supervisor at the embassy who talked to the mrs [ in thai] and she said no prob as long as you can prove we support him,...also
when i showed  her on the sponsor from that i had lived for more than 12 months thailand [in total] Q44.. she said i have to get a thai police report,as well as the AFP one i already have,i argued the point but she was adamant,she said to take my passport to same place my wife got hers and they will give me one.
has anyone had to do this? she said if i want the visa in they will send the report to the embassy as it now takes up to 15 days ,thats how long it took to get the wifes and nephews.
could she be wrong about this as well, i could not get through friday to ask.

He is eligable to come with us.the question is we wont be going to oz till end of year,when dose he have to register?,and if his number is pulled out when dose he start? i have searched carnt find answer ,he is 100%thai,my worry is if i go to the trouble of doing all the paper work,he gets the visa,if all is not worked out before hand,they stop him at airport.
the wife is going to look into it,BUT i wont to know.once he gets to oz it will be up to him when he comes back,he is a good kid and worker.
But if he dose come back to thailand and he's nat/ser is not sorted and he is picked to do nat/ser,he will do the 2 yrs or what ever but may loose hes OZ visa.
