Two very common ones:
เขา he, she, him, her should have a rising tone but in everyday speech it is usually pronounced like เค้า with a high tone.
and probably the most common:
ไหม the particle used at the end of questions should be pronounced with a rising tone but is normally pronounced มั้ย with a high tone.
The purists often argue that these are examples of poor Thai rather than irregular spellings but the truth is เค้า and มั้ย are so widely used that they are considered acceptable speech by just about everyone.

The left nut is still double the size of the other nut. The doctor said I have a case of semi-elephantitis. He recommended using bags of frozen veg on the nut in question in a bid to effect the ball bag at a molecular level. He also said to keep the spoof supply chain active by way of multiple daily ejaculations. As weird as it sounds I think I am noticing a slight improvement in both the colour and sensitivity of the bollock in question.

This guy was swimming in the same pool.

Some people have had good luck sending valuable items to Thailand, others not so good. If you mail the laptop, send it registered mail and insure it. Keep in mind the more remote the address you send it to the greater the chance it won't get there. In other words, if you're sending the laptop to an address at Chulalongkorn University or to the office of a large multinational company it stands a much better chance of arriving than it does if you send it to a house in rural Yasothon.
I would also agree with Mac that it might be better to just hand carry the item if you're coming here anyway or buy a new one once you get here. They're a lot cheaper now than they used to be.
