#5157424 Eva Premium Economy

Posted dddave on 2012-03-23 05:11:28

The drawback for premium economy is the large, immovable console between the seats.  If the seat next to you is empty, there is no way to take advantage of it.
The last time I flew Eva Premium Econ., the flight was half empty. (Admittedly not likely these days)  At some point I strolled into the economy section to gloat over the poor people and was shocked and outraged to see most of them sleeping comfortably stretched over four seats.  I returned crestfallen to my semi-reclining seat with the uselessly angled footrest, unable to ignore the empty but thoroughly useless seat next to me.
Never again!!

Altho I do believe that airlines should not seat really, seriously obese people in a normal seat next to 'normal' passengers

Would it be better to seat the "obese" people next to each other?   Posted Image

Airlines should institute a maximum size for passengers, just like they do for overhead luggage. When you approach ticketing, there is a little device you can use to see if any luggage is small enough to fit in the overhead compartment. If it doesn't fit, it goes in the hold of the airplane. Same thing should apply to passengers. If you are too fat to fit in the seat, you go in the hold.

Airlines should provide special wider seating for really fat people or make them travel only in business/first class where the seats are larger anyway. The wider seats would cost more and be compulsory for passengers over ??? waist/hip size.

More money can never hurt.  Staying home to earn it and miss out on the great life here is a touch choice.

Especially in some of the bars where touching is allowed.

I would never have moved here......never have gotten involved with a Thai women (i.e. marriage).......never have invested in anything here.  Instead, I would have moved to New Zealand or Panama or  some other place.   Thailand has been going downhill from the day I first moved here (over twenty years ago), and the decline has accelerated over the past ten years.  The really good days (80s and 90s) have gone and will not return.   I am looking forward to leaving (yes, I know, do not let the door hit you in the ass on the way out....blah, blah, blah).
