#5328341 What Would Happen To This Girl'S Visa Status

Posted thaigirllondon on 2012-05-24 17:54:44

Assume she is on a ILR visa (I believe she is from reading commentary)

What would happen to this woman's status when the husband removes her from the marital home for cheating.

By the way I think the husband is a weak man. And I use the British term, he needs to 'Man up' not because I think he need to act in a violent way as some posters suggest this phrase means. But, more than that, that he needs to act now, kick her out of the maritial home and not be the mat in front of the door for her to wipe her feet on.

So, what would happen to one's visa status in this sitation when you have cheated on the husband (assume with or without Kids with british nationality).

I tend to agree with Newly Minted Thai that there are some people that one wonders why they bother to stay here, if you can hardly speak a word of Thai and seem to hate virtually every thing about the country apart from the cheap sex and tarts who are willing to perjure themselves by referring to knarled old geezers with bald heads and multiple tatoos as "handsome men".

...
Such a vulgar, offensive stereotype of the many thousands of expat retirees in Thailand, each here for their own individual motivations, in no conceivable way represents this group of people. Also, it's funny how the Thai-ier than Thai crowd tend to interpret natural criticism of some things in Thailand as hating everything about Thailand.  Ultimately, it is a personal choice for any of us who choose to live in Thailand and can manage to do so visa-wise, etc.

We saw Thaksin singing "Let it Be" the other day. Now he should change the tune to "The Long and Winding Road" (that leads back home).

In consideration of the thread title, It's A Hard Road Home for Thaksin, he could sing his version of

WHEN OUR LOVED ONES ARE GONE
AND WE JOURNEY ALONE
LORD IT'S A HARD ROAD HOME
LEAD US ON BY THE HAND
TO THAT GREAT PROMISED LAND
CAUSE, LORD IT'S A HARD ROAD HOME

#5039150 Phuket To Rid Itself Of Beggars And Homeless People

On a serious note to those of you with young children, a friend of my wife was in a shopping centre in Bangkok when her 4 year old son was snatched when she wasn't looking. About a year later her son called out to her from the side of the road. She didnt recognise him. He has a shaven head and was missing one of his legs. He was stolen and used for professional begging.
In another incident my niece was at school in Cha Am and went to the toilet at lunch time. When she came back the 3 friends she was having lunch with had been snatched and thrown in a van.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to watch your children at all times and as soon as they are old enough explain the dangers of wandering off, talking to strangers, make them memorise your phone number etc. This happens A LOT in Thailand and it very rarely makes the news.

Wanphen Pienjai murder: American arrested in Phuket

Murder victim Wanphen Pianjai, stabbed
to death at the age of 33 last month.

PHUKET: -- Phuket Police last night arrested an American man for last month’s brutal stabbing murder of bar hostess Wanphen Pienjai.

Phuket City Police Superintendent Wanchai Ekpornpit this afternoon confirmed the identity of the suspect as 36-year-old Donald Fanelli, a US citizen.

Mr Fanelli was arrested at his home in the Thanthong Village housing estate in Chalong at about 6pm last night.

Col Wanchai said police would hold a press conference at Phuket City Police Station tomorrow morning to announce the arrest and provide more details.

The arrest followed a lengthy and painstaking investigation that involved many hours of tracking the suspect’s movements.

Col Wanchai declined to go into detail about the motive, but said it appeared to have been related to the fact that Mr Fanelli's sexual preference was for ladyboys and that Ms Wanphen may have been ‘tracking’ his efforts to find partners.

Mr Fanelli, described as a long-term tourist, had lived at a home in Chalong with a Thai woman until the woman and her son returned to her home in the northeastern province of Mahasarakham, Col Wanchai said.

The victim’s mother, 59-year-old Sa-ard Maliwan, told the Gazette from her home in Petchaboon province that she was informed of the arrest at about 9am today.

Ms Maliwan said she was overcome with rage when informed of the arrest and said she hoped the American gets capital punishment for his crime, if found guilty.

She said she was not requested by Phuket Police to come to the island and has no plans to do so.
