This is a MUST SEE!

I've been to many pro MX races and could never have imagined how exciting this is.
I hope Thailand supports this venture. It would be great to see some former pro MX racers from all over race there.

What a get-away! Not far for the incredible Kiwi and Ausie racers too. Team 2-2 moto needs to show up for drill here.

Albertine where are you?

If you guys could see Villopoto race up close it would be so cool, but he snapped his knee off again and will be out a while. This guy was scary fast even as a 65cc MX racer kid.

French tourist dies in fire at illegal Thai hotel
(AP)–17 hours ago
BANGKOK (AP) — A French tourist has been killed in an overnight fire that engulfed an illegally operated budget hotel in one of the Thai capital's main tourist districts.
Police say the fire started at a bar on the ground floor of a three-story building in the city's Khao San Road neighborhood, an area popular with backpackers and budget travelers. Five tourists escaped but a 27-year-old Frenchman was found burned to death.
Police Capt. Charnchai Changwang said Monday that the top floor of the building was occupied by an illegal guesthouse offering small rooms at cheap rates. The hotel was not registered with authorities and not subject to safety inspections.

I always love these kinds of threads.... Unfortunately, among my varied talents, being an electrician isn't one of them.

Thus I have little clue about the meaning of most of the electrical terms above. And more importantly, I have NO clue of whom to turn to around BKK who can reliably advise whether our shower heaters are properly/safely configured.

And to make matters worse... I have no green wire at all.... Posted Image Posted Image But here's what I do have.

Even if I knew WHAT to do with it, I wouldn't know WHOM to turn to to get it done... Posted Image
Isn't it fun when the sticker says it must be earthed (grounded) but there's no provision to ground the unit? At least it has a sticker telling you not to modify the gizzards!Posted Image LOL

I have a 4,500 watt Hitachi heater. I was very surprised that it has no where to attach a ground wire. I took the copper heating element loose, put the ground wire under the steel bracket that holds it and tightened it back up. It at least has a ground whether it needs it or not.
Good solution. I thought of a big stainless hose clamp, like on a radiator hose of a car, around the boiler/tank. Squeeze a bare wire under it. I realize there's a dialectric issue but at least it's grounded. Get one that's grounded when it fails eventually, but live to replace it!
