Deploying A New Passport

I'm going to apply in Laos for a TV. I've just renewed my passport and was wondering what the rules were.
Do I leave Thailand on my old passport (2 months left on it) and then get a visa into Laos on my new passport? Then apply at the Thai consulate with just my new Passport? Or do I apply at the Consulate with both passports? I really wouldn't want to confuse them.

'And for inquiring minds, there's nothing nefarious in this. I'm coming off a retirement visa.

Red Lights Over Bangkok Area

Can't believe nobody has commented on the two clouds of red lights hovering over the Bangkok area. I'm in Khao Yai at present and I've watched two clouds of small red lights dancing over what seems to be Bangkok. They are like shoals of fish. The mass stays roughly the same, but the shape keeps changing. Earlier a few smaller clouds seemed to be chasing the planes going into Bangkok. They've been there for about 4 hours now.
I suppose from Bangkok they would be in the Eastern sky and one large cloud towards the North. Very strange.

Rubbish Dumps In Korat

Does anyone know the location of the council rubbish dumps in and around Nakhon Ratchasima city?
My wife has just started a new recycling scheme and needs to know where to start.
The scheme is about turning tetra-paks into roof tiles.....and if her samples are anything to go by, they're better than the cement ones. You need to paint them though.

Some people will have "Hi-C" printed on their roof.....and like it.

A google Earth map would be just dandy. :jap:
