Hi folks
My current visa (non O) expires start of March and I'm going to get an ed visa next.
Apart from not having to do border runs every 3 months (which I actually quite enjoy) I'm keen on studying Thai.
Can anyone (that's been through the process) recomend a good school in Cha-am (where I'm based) or Hua Hin where they felt the lessons were well taught and the visa application process was smooth.
Any helpful replies much appreciated.

Fishing From Shore/Rocks In Phuket
2011-09-29 11:19:05
Hi folks
Lived in Samui and the shore fisihng was very poor. Only very small fish from beach or rocks. A bit better in my kayak fising over the reef for squid or beyond the reef in deeper water.
Now in Cha-am. Long pier to fish from but again very poor shore fishing.
Considering a trip to Phuket soon as it's many years since I've been. Just wondering if anyone knows of any decent spots to fish from the shore or if indeed there are any?

Hi folks
Anyone know of a regular pub quiz in Cha-am or Hua Hin?
I live in Cha-am but realise I may have to travel to Hua Hin to find one.
Any info much appreciated.

Computer Repairs On Samui
2011-05-20 09:22:04
Hi folks
Can anyone recomend a computer repair person/shop they've used?
Just been back to UK for a week during which time I got a virus on my laptop. Took it to a shop where they reformatted it.
After this I've been having problems with the keyboard - can't type more than a few words before the cursor jumps ahead or behind the point I'm up to, making typing practically impossible.
Only thing I did after reformatting was to load new security centre (AVG).
Not sure if the keyboard problem is connected to the reformatting (my laptop never had this problem before) or coincidence - thus not sure if software or hardware problem.
Cheers

Hi folks
I'm thinking of aplying for a 1 year education visa.
I've researched the process, costs, etc.
Just one question; I realise that I don't have to leave the country to make the 90 day visa extensions but if i do wish to leave the country (I have family in Malaysia and friends in Hong Kong that I visit quite regularly) can i do so without corrupting the 90 days extension?
To clarify, for example if I flew to Malaysia for 3 days two weeks after obtaining my 90 day extension at a local office in Thailand, would I have to pay for another extension as I re-entered the country or would my 90 day extension allow me to fly out and into Thailand within that 90 day period at no extra charge?
I hope this question makes sense!
Any advice much appreciated.
