Car Insurance In Malaysia For Thai Registered Vehicle ?
2012-05-06 18:17:06
Does anybody have any knowledge of being able to extend a fully comprehensive car insurance policy to cover a road trip to Malaysia. I intend to spend about 6/7 weeks in Malaysia touring with my own Thai registered vehicle.
Car Insurance For Visit To Malaysia
2012-05-06 18:11:29
I am planning a trip to Malaysia, driving down and spending about 6 weeks touring with my own vehicle, which is registered here in Thailand. Does anybody have any information as to the cost of the car insurance, weekly, monthly (Third Party I believe) when I cross over the border? Is it possible to get insurance cover here in Thailand that will cover me in Malaysia, as I would obviously prefer to have fully comprehensive cover if at all possible?
Game Of Golf?

Hello everybody,
I am a retired 69 year old English man who has lived in Hua-Hin for the past 5 years and will be spending my first visit to Phuket staying in the the Patong area from the 19 to the 25 April. I am a member of two of the top courses here in Hua-Hin and play off 12. I would very much like to get a few games in whilst I am visiting and would be more than happy to reciprocate a members introduction her in Hua-Hin if you would like to play either the 'Springfield G&C club' or 'Lakeview G&C club'. I prefer to play courses that I can walk, as I do not like buggies ( I find them antisocial), unless they are mandatory.
Any information that you would like to impart would be gratefully received with regard to courses to play and restaurants (I like all kinds of food), golfing bars where I can meet up with local golfers etc.
I shall be driving down, so I will have my own transport whilst I am visiting the area and you are welcome to a lift if you require it.
Happy golfing to you all.

Phuket Golf

I'm travelling down to Phuket (for the first time) from Hua-Hin where I've lived for 5 years. I will be in the Patong area for 5 days from the 19th to the 24th and wonder if anybody would be kind enough to give me a game whilst I'm there. I am a 69 year old retired English man, 12 handicapper, still fit (like to walk the courses that I play wherever possible) and play about 3 times a week at two top class courses here in the Hua-Hin area of which I am a member. I would be more than happy to reciprocate an introduction to my clubs if anybody is coming to Hua-Hin and wishes to play the 'Springfield G&C club 3x9 holes' or the 'Lakeview G&C club 4x9 holes'. both these courses have a walk in rate of 3500Baht+caddy fees (250+250 min) but as my guest you would pay half of the standard green fee and I could introduce a maximum of 3 people at one time.
Any advice regarding which courses to play during my stay would be most appreciated; also info re good restaurants (I like all kinds of food) and golfing bars where I could meet up with fellow golfers. I shall be driving down so I will have my own transport during my stay.
Wishing you all happy golfing and remember 'When your dead ALL the putts are uphill'

Enforcing 'By Laws' In A Secure Development?
2012-01-31 17:45:19
I posted this topic yesterday, but for some strange reason it did not appear so lets try again.
I live in a 'Gated development' which obtained 'Juristic body approval' some 4 years ago.
We have our 'Articles of Association' and 'By laws', which were voted on and approved by the residents, but does anybody know of any 'Juristic body' here in Thailand that has got any form of 'Teeth' to impose fines on people who do not abide by the the above? If so how are the 'teeth' governed and applied, monetary fines, exclusion of services or what?. We do not wish to have members of the elected Committee being vilified for trying to protect other residents from noise and unreasonable behaviour, but we do wish to try and keep our community protected from such problems, particularly from people who have rented property and think that they can do what the hell they like with no comeback - we recently had some Russians renting and they caused all kinds of problems, but could not give a shzt about complaints from neighbouring properties.
Does anybody know of any developments that have imposed a restriction on the number of 'domestic pets' that any one household may have. We now have some people who have 6 or more dogs and the noise annoyance is really getting to people - what is possible and what is not possible - within the law of course?.
I know that in many other countries their are legal restrictions on the number of pets that people can have - even to the extent of the number of fish that people can have - this relates more to 'condo's' because of the problems of large fish tanks breaking and damaging floors below. Personally I would like to see our development have a restriction of no more than 3 domestic animals per household for any new purchaser and a restraint on people who have more animals to not replace them when they die - and yes I am not an animal hater, I just abhor people who let their dogs bark for ages without stopping them as do my other considerate neighbours.
Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciated.
