Flag Waving Property Projects On Sukhumvit
2011-12-03 18:15:03
Walking down Sukhumvit today I saw at least 6 Thai young men standing on street corners and waiving flags (with varying degrees of enthusiasm) that bore the names of at least 3 different property projects. Perhaps this is common practice elsewhere, but I hadn't seen it before. If it's a sales technique, it seems a little desperate. Are property sales going badly, or is this really an effective way to bring in new buyers?
Women In The Next 3 Decades
2011-01-16 11:12:42
Hi all,
I've wondered about this statue in Lumpini Park since I first saw it. Anyone know what it's meant to convey? By the title "Women in the Next 3 Decades" I would have hoped for something inspirational or uplifting, but for some reason that's not what this statue does for me.
Some insight appreciated, Misty

Virtual Office And Home Office
2010-07-12 18:58:12
Does anyone know if Immigration allows this type of business set-up for foreigners who own companies and are on business visas with one year extensions:
1) Foreigner's company uses Virtual Office for company registration, mailing address, phone service and meeting rooms
2) Company uses a home office for actual work space: All computers, printers, company records and files are maintained at the home office
3) Work permit lists both Virtual Office and Home Office addresses
The reason I ask is that I'm thinking about moving my home and office. Currently I use a home office for all of the above purposes (registration, work space, etc), and my current landlord has no problem with me registering my company at my home. But the landlord of the new property I'm considering won't allow me to register my company (although he has no problem with me having a home office for working--just no registration).
Thanks for any help or suggestions, Misty
