3G In Chiang Mai
2011-12-16 06:37:06
I get 3G with both AIS and DTAC here in Chonburi which is fine for streaming live EPL football at the weekends. I've got to go to Chiang Mai for a couple of weeks and, according to their maps, 3G is available from AIS but is there any 3G via DTAC available there?
What'S The Official Speeding Fine In Thailand?
2010-08-23 15:46:39
I think we've all been stopped for speeding at some point and paid the 100-200 baht tea money, and stories about this have probably been done to death on this forum, but I was asked the other day what's the official speeding fine if you choose to take the ticket and go to the police station to pay it? So far nobody can tell me, not even Thais. I tried googling it but gave up after going round in circles for about an hour.
So you're my last hope, can anybody here provide me with a link to the official cost please?

New English Test For Uk Settlement Applicants.
2010-08-17 11:12:00
The UKBA has today published a list of approved providers of English language tests for non-European migrants applying to come to the UK to join or marry their settled partner.
It doesn't say where the test can be taken, it's just a list of what test's they will recognize and what examination board sets them.
Also, from the 'enter or remain in the UK as the partner of a British citizen or a person settled here' it appears that people already living in the UK when they make their INITIAL settlement application will also have to take the test as part of that application.
