Sunrise Tacos in Bangkok will be offering a Super Bowl special breakfast and screening of the game at their restaurant located on Sukhumvit between Soi 12 and 14.

The sumptuous full breakfast buffet  prepared by Mexican chef Luis is only 295 Baht.  Bloody Marys for only  99 Baht.  All you can drink coffee or tea for 59 Baht.

Sunrise Tacos will have a omelet station, bacon, ham, pancakes, eggs, potatoes and corn, French toast, various fruits and Mexican breakfast classics... enchiladas, breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros and chilaquiles.

Doors are open 24 hours a day with the pre- game show starting at 6:00 AM broadcast live from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Recently, due to the flooding, the Royal Thai Government issued Royal Decree 530 to cut corporate income tax for 3 consecutive accounting periods.

The accounting period beginning on or after January 1, 2012 will see a reduction of corporate tax to 23 % from 30 % for one accounting period.

The tax on profits will be reduced to 20% for two subsequent accounting periods beginning on or after January 1, 2013.
Section 6 of the same decree reduces corporate tax for small and medium enterprises (SME) whose paid up capital does not exceed 5 million baht and whose gross annual revenue is 30 million Baht or less. Those whose profit is less than 150,000 Baht are exempt from corporate tax, while those from 150,001 Baht to 1 million Baht will be charged a 15% tax rate.

For those SME companies that earn more than 1 million Baht in profit they will be taxed 23% for the accounting period beginning on or after January 1, 2012 and 20% for the accounting period beginning on or after January 1, 2013.

The new rate for SME companies does not have a validity period which makes it different from the corporate tax which is good from 2012-2014.

The Securities and Exchange Commission proposed a tax waiver on dividends paid by listed companies to the Royal Thai Government to encourage more companies to list their shares. The current tax is 10%. A decision on this proposal has not yet been reached but when it is we will post more here.

The Labor Department has instructed Sunbelt Asia lawyers that starting from today there are new requirements for all new applicants for work permits and also new criteria for existing work permit holders for renewals. They have issued new forms for work permit applications in several classes.

New applicants for work permits will now be required to provide proof of their Education Certificate (eg: BA, BS, MA, MS, PhD) and a reference letter from the previous employer confirming employment.

The photo size has also changed from 5cm x 6 cm to 3cm x 4 cm.

Extensions of work permits (WP 5) will now also require a map to the office and a medical certificate. The medical certificate is valid for only 6 months so annual renewal of work permits will now require a new medical certificate including the exam for the usual diseases and the syphilis test. (Previously only new applicants needed to provide the medical certificate)

Additionally the medical certificate will also need to indicate the applicant's blood type.



New forms are now available and can only be used:

WP 1.: new applications for work permits
WP 3. (files include wp.3 and 3.1): petition treated as a pre-requisite while the applicant is outside the country applying for a non-b visa
WP 5.: extension of work permit
WP 6.: changes in the current work permit, such as adding a company, change in job title, change in office location (misc changes that do not require the issuance of a new work permit).
