What the hell do you guys expect I just don't know.
I came to Thailand for a pleasant and peaceful retirement after 30 years of constant and stressful working.
It ain't happening.

Last month I went to England and Wales for a short visit, and met up with 3 old friends who all to a man put me up in their homes without question, it was if we had never been apart for the 10 years that was the case.

Sadly there are too many instances here of a flimsy friendship that amounts to nothing more than a pile of sh1t.

There are fortunately people here who can see over the horizon and you know who you are.

I don't wish any of you bad but please avoid me at all costs.

Hope someone out there can help.

My bike totally conked out yesterday after making some nasty rattling noises on deceleration all day.

I knew already the crank was making a noise but as new parts are not coming out of Japan, I hoped it would be a slow deterioration.

Tommorrow I'll open up the engine and see what s what , but if anyone out there can get hold of a crank for me, then please get in touch.

Looking to hear from anyone with knowledge of using Paypal.

Why ?

Because I have had an account for some years but never used it. That means that any transaction I undertake will be my first. Now like forum and advert type websites approval is normal before they accept your posts or adverts. Can or does such a thing happen with Paypal ?

For instance do Paypal have a rule that a 1st transaction will require a percentage of the funds to stay in Paypal for a certain length of time. It may only amount to 10,000 Baht, but is still enough to attract scammers doing the same trick multiple times ?

For instance is it posssible the other party to the transaction is a longstanding customer of Paypal and that in the case of a dispute his rights would override yours ( being a 1st timer )?

For instance is it posssible that as a 1st time transaction wih Paypal my ability to move the money to a Bank A/C is restricted by certain Paypal regulations that require written authority from whosoever ?

All these things worry me deeply and disturb my sleep patterns.

Please help with constructive input.

And for all those pillocks out there that like to say  " Google is your friend " , or email Paypal and ask them ,  then please stay the hell away from this thread.

I tried  to post an ad yesterday correctly filling all fields marked with asterisk and added 6 pictures, but the screen just comes back with empty fields agin and no obvious error message.

I'm looking to sell something as quickly as possible and this website was recommended by a Thai friend of mine.

It does however show no English which doesn't matter but it means that probably no expats use it.

A quick shifty at its adverts and all I see are hundreds & hundreds of mobile phones for sale.

I'm not selling a phone so really I'm not sure it will help me.

A local buyer is so much more convenient if I can find one.

Any ideas out there.
