Congratulations to all those who  have  recently been successful with
the UK Settlement  Visas.

My wife's Settlement  Visa was refused today.

I will scan the refusal letter  to the forum  on Monday  for any advise.

For now i would like to know how to prepare and submit the appeal?

And due to our circumstances now is it still possible to get a 6 month UK Visitor Visa while having to wait for an appeal

as it would at least give us some time together ? My wife has always returned when her Visa has run out.

would the UKBA see this in a different light and refuse that too?

I would like to mention, be extra careful with the Thai Airasia booking  system Website,
this will sound ridiculious but while i was managing my booking an Error occured
which led to me to re booking a whole new flight .

So contacted the call centre
to sort this flight out to get a refund and.. no refund.. will be given.I have two booking refs
so now  have two flights on the same day for my wife! Got absolutely no where with
Customer Service kept me on hold for over 10 mins at a time i asked to speak to a manager
and was fobbed off by the Airasia Agent and ask why i booked two flights same day same time for one person!
And even asked me why i changed the date on  the ticket ?
Thats really is my business.

My thoughts are because you book with a mastercard
no matter what they talk about its actually way out off their hands to authorise anything.
and a refund is out of the question too.

If i had booked a flight and said sorry i dont want it give me a refund i would understand their attatuide
towards me,but their website has a flaw and many errors but they dont seem to take this into account.
Anyway please be careful and dont do what i did,  i would suggest calling the call centre to avoid
some of this happening to you. Pomchob  

I made the Online UK  Settlement Application today
and i can confirm, if not gone already, 3rd 4th 5th 6th of May only available and no appointments for June ,My wife still needs to get the A1 English Test and TB appointments which are booked.So unfortunately these dates are too early,
will have to keep checking VFS website for them to put a new month up.Good Luck, pomchob

I am working through the Online UK Settlement Visa
i'm on Part 7... Your relationship to Sponsor...
I'm not actually the Sponsor ..My family are acting as third party sponsors for my Thai wife
but all the question seem to relate to my wifes connection to me
about how long we have known each other and meetings etc.

so i'm getting confused ie .... Are you and you sponsor related outside of marraige?
  and ...Have you or your sponsor ever been married or in a long term relationship before?
I started putting info in Part 7 thinking they mean my wifes relationship to my Mother.
could do with some help from the experienced members!

Mandatory online Settlement Visa for UK.
I really have been struggling with the site for the past 2 hours now
i get half way through  my Thai wifes application and i get cut off
with Runtime Error and lose all my information i have typed in
and at the beggining of the online form it doesn't save my details
or email me my password info to log in in the future i'm using browser Mozzilla Firefox 4
with windows XP.Anyone else get this problem today?
any help would be most grateful
