Leaving Current Employment But ..

2011-09-05 12:24:15

Hi guys ..

I will shortly be leaving my current job. I am aware of the need to relinquish my Work Permit and associated visa on the same day (and apply for the 7-day extension), however my company does not plan to pay me until the end of the month - some two weeks after I have left. Am I right in assuming I should hold on to my Work Permit and visa until I've been paid everything I am owed?

Thanks,

Andy1308.

Event For Journalism Students / Teachers

2010-12-08 08:06:53

I hope I am not breaking any rules posting this information here. If so I apologise.

On Thursday, December 16, there is a free-to-attend event for journalism students (and MBA students) at Sasin featuring Norman Pearlstine, the Chief Content Officer for Bloomberg and former Editor-in Chief at both Time Inc. and The Wall Street Journal. The event takes place between 4pm and 5.30pm, but although it's free registration is required as the capacity is just 300. Norman is one of America's most experienced journalists and will be sharing his experience and knowledge with journalism students. The registration website is: http://www.eventsbot...eid=eb222389265

Please PM me if you need any more information about this event, or would like to book multiple places for students because the website is set to accept individual registrations only.

Thanks, and best regards.
