Hi All,

I've come across a new Android App that teaches you how to write the Thai Alphabet much better than a whole array of other apps I've tried on the Android market.  Also it is free which helps.  

So far I have gone through the first 3 lessons this morning on my Android phone, and then tried the exams for those lessons.  I was surprised how quickly I picked it up, as having lived here for nearly 8 years, I still find the Thai Language a big challenge.

Anyway, it seems pretty clever, in that it seems to learn which characters you get right and wrong, and then keeps drilling you on the ones you struggle with.

I thought and give you all a heads up, as its pretty useful (To me anyway).

The thing I REALLY like about it, is the animations it shows you, as its difficult to know where to start when writing some of the more tricky characters.

Hi All,

I am looking into building a swimming pool very soon at my new house, and I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for a swimming pool contractor that does good work, on time etc etc.

I know a couple of people that have had them built by Siam Pools, and they seem happy generally (A few little niggles - but nothing major).  Therefore, I have sent them a message to see if they can come out to the house and quote for the job.  Of course I would be foolish not to ask around, and work out which is the best deal (Not the cheapest, the best deal - i.e. quality, customer service, reliability, and time keeping), so any comments would be appreciated.

Hi all,

I'm in the market for an automatic new car, around the 500k mark. I know that sometimes new models have queues and the floods have affected things, but I'm trying to buy it now, ready for hot season...

Nissan, March and Almera, 3 month wait
Mitsubishi Mirage, earliest July delivery
Honda Brio - any ideas of the wait? The dealer on the super highway is closed Sundays.
Proton, can get the cars quick, but couldn't show me one as their large showroom just had one vehicle in it.
Mazda, dealer closed
Toyota, Vios-1 month wait, but for automatic, sadly 50k over budget.

Has anyone any ideas how to get a new car quickly here?

As these seem to change slightly from year to year and of course office to office, can someone please confirm what the current requirements are for a one year extension based on marriage. I want to ensure we have everything required all set to go.

Has anyone seen anywhere that sells tea towels, the sort a big hotel kitchen may use. I.e. good quality

I want to buy a dozen or so, so would appreciate any leads.
