Big Bike Tricks....On Little Bikes

2011-04-17 10:15:29

Was out on my Suzuki Best this morning after my swim and came into an underpass hairpin a little quick, hung out a bit, and as I was judging my exit line the back end was overcome and started to spin. I wound on what little power it has and continued to rear wheel steer through to a safe exit line.

Beaming with the realisation that such things were not only possible but also, seemingly quite controllable, I wondered what else was possible on such skinny tyres.

Have you guys got any good small bike stories?

ps. made me mindful of what someone here wrote recently about AOTG AOTT

Wear To Buy Inexpensive Leathers (Used Or New)

2011-04-15 10:27:43

Didn't realise trackday fun was so accessable. Just got a nifty little NSR150 and would like to get back to some track action. Used to be a regular at Croft, Cadwell Park and Brands Hatch back in blighty. So where can I get some big leathers. 46" chest should do it. one or two piece accepteable. Presume they have to zip together at least, right?

Any ideas where to look locally? I'm in Korat but would travel for a decent bargain and a quick fix. I can't wait to get my knee down again.

Have to say, this made me chuckle...
Only thing better than this would be to see umpalumpas running around preparing the dough!

Kind regards,

Gulliver

Restaurant Seating

2011-04-06 18:05:04

First thing I noticed about eating in Thailand is that convivial surroundings were not the same  taste as back home. I got used to the flimsy plastic chairs, the fumes from passing cars at the roadside "chic eateries" But in all my five years I have never seen such a reality check as this tomyum restaurant. I mean, we know, chances are we are gonna get the dribbly shits. But this kind of  early warning is not what I'd come to expect of our hosts. Is it a sign on modernization, per chance?
