#3908082 Nationwide Crackdown On Night Venues

Posted alex_aka_P on 2010-09-26 01:30:21

>Crackdown on night venues

1. A "witch-hunting" for something REAALY SOOO IMPOOOOORTANT to this country, to the safety of locals and to the internal improvements progress, so-called "reconciliation"
2. Another nail in the tourism's coffin. Sad but true. Hotels are empty (emptiest I ever see for decades), and what we're doing now? Cancelling one more tourist's service, raising thai baht, allow rallies under SOE - and expecting the INCREASE of the arrivals. High-class arrivals, yeah. A dumbest dumberers! A HUB of idiots!!!
3. They got to find ANOTHER job to those who will be fired from those bars - just to let them survive. Will they care those who lost their jobs? We all know the answer.
4. The bombs are still exploding on the streets. Daily! Yeah, it is 2nd-priority task to fix it comparing to the night venues.

Im really tired of all of these idioticities......

#3907978 Would You Like The Option To Turn Off The Reputation Feature For You?

The voice of reason seldom incudes such fervent following of ones own agenda......:)
You don't get satire, do you? My agenda, to get 1000 red marks. 55555

Jing, the idiots that now abound here, don't 'get' many things.

Well...many people have visited this thread. Perhaps this is why the thread is not closed...'many people equals many clicks';.

In summation, the only reason why anyone would use such an infantile rating system is as follows;
1] It's easy to anonymously support (or not) somebody, as opposed to writing a comment (saves bandwidth & server space but totally detracts from the meaning of the site).
2] People can be anonymous in their support or objection.
3] People can sit in their chairs & actively add or subtract from a person's reputation.

The strange thing is that until early this year, 'reputation' was unknown on this site. Until early this year, people actually had to make a comment in order to disagree with another's comments.

It appears that Thaivisa is now made for children...who, instead of having possibly worthwhile opinions, are reduced to clicking on an infantile 'I don't like' or an 'I do like' button.

Is this a site for adults or children?
Are we treated like adults or children?
Do we act like adults or children (a baited question)?

For heavens sake, get rid of this totally stupid 'reputation' system & let 'comments' again rule the forum...as it did before this idiot system was instigated.

:D I have a guy on the motoring section that gives me a red if l say a word against MU7's :D.

But you are right, if the powers that be instigate a plus and minus system it soon becomes obvious that some people have a serious problem if they acquire loads of reds and perhaps should be looked at. :)
I disagree with that and here's why. Just ONE spiteful member can put any member deep into the red if the gives out his two reds each and everyday to the same member. That's over 700 reds per year which very few posters could offset with greens. Please think twice before giving much meaning to the reds OR greens.

Thanks Jingthing for giving me the idea of hounding you and putting you in the red 2 a day makes your reputation negative anyway  :D
Whatever floats your boat. I already have such a nasty person who is currently on holiday. I am sure I will collect more and eventually be at 1000 reds. You see, this stupid system does indeed tend to repress BOLD posters, not necessarily BAD posters. Anyone with bold opinions is going to eventually collect spiteful stalkers.

Another point. In real life, if most everyone likes you or agrees with you on everything, doesn't that mean you are some kind of milquetoast wimp? This kind of crap does not belong on a serious discussion forum. It think it degrades the value of this board experience, but don't bother complaining, it's here to stay.

One thing's for sure, these countries will do their best to find you in violation of any small law and throw you in prison the moment you land. Make sure you don't have any prescription drugs on their long long list of prohibited items or you will be in the shit. Some of the items on this list are normal over the counter medications in lots of places around the world.

Be warned and avoid this region.

boo hoo, I see the thaier than thai brigade are out in force, anyway lets see what happens on sunday, some people have been very wrong before so I would not be surprised if they are wrong again, clearly the fake pm is happy with it as he is allowing it even during the SoE so unless you know more about the situation than him then I guess you are just guessing and talking nonsense.

So you want to stop a religious practice over thousand of years ago just that you get a good sleep. Be sensible and practice more religious tolerance mate. The mosque will not move but you can.

Yeah, they have been turning up those speakers for thousands of years. LOL.

Whats funny about that, he didn't state speakers for thousands of years! but for thousands of years a muslim has climbed the tower of the mosque and sang that same string of words for the prcise reason the OP is complaining about...the idea being to wake people up to come and pray, just nowdays they have speakers up there not people!

Yes in a Muslim country, the alarm clock, is it right then that they should wake EVERYBODY up here who are not followers.

Wonder what would happen in a Muslim country if a church was built in town and they rang out the bells at 4am in the morning. Cemtex comes to mind.

Pork Catapult

the incoming pork missiles will cease only when the speakers are turned down.

Don't muslims have mobile phones? can't they be called to prayer with a SMS? This isn't the middle ages right?

make flyers to announce a morning event of burning Qurans and combination pork BBQ. Could call it the Holy book and porcine raging inferno extravaganza.

Will they turn down their speakers? I seriously doubt it but experimentation is the mother of invention. Warning could cause extended bloody Jihad.

Sounds as if you are overreacting here, but I suspect what you have posted comes after a lengthy list of other things that have happened where you feel unappreciated and taken advantage of.  All I can suggest is to set your boundaries and stick to them.  Communicate your feelings with your wife. Take time for yourself.  And hope for the best.

The problem I seem to encounter is that whenever you refuse to HELP the FAMILY, it becomes a very personal issue, they become blinded by their own stupidity and all logic goes out of the window.

They cannot see that by wasting my time and money to go and pick up Cancer Dad, it has pissed me off despite the number of times I asked them to check.

The fact that I complained has now turned me into a Cancer Daddy Hater, rather 5than helper, despite the fact that all of her mongoloid family were unable to go to his assistance.

I get painted in a worse light because I helped them and got pissed off as the story they spun was a pile of shit! Yet the Cancer Bags grandchildren are squeaky clean because they did bugger all, as they had no diesel!

#3852671 Stupid Or Just Ignorant?

Imagine this OK!

The wifes old man has been in and out of hospital for a couple of months, he has throat cancer.

I did not have enough time to run him in everyday for his laser treatment, so I coughed up to get her brothers car taxed, to save me the hassle as I need to pick my son up from school everyday.

The laser treatment has finished, but every month or so he needs to go to the local hospital, 20K or so, for blood transfusions.

Well, yesterday, despite the car being taxed, they came and asked if I could pop in to the hospital to drop some clothes off...no problem, it was on my way.

Reasons given. everyone was busy working and no one to drive the car.

Then this morning I get asked can I go and pick up old Cancerous Daddy from the hospital, as he needs to come home.

But today, my son has been off school as he has a headache and is not too well.

Anyway, I agree to the roundtrip, but ask them to confirm that they will be ready to pick up, I hate waiting at hospitals/airports etc...

So my wife confirms they will be ready at 3pm, so off we go. arrive as usual due to the locals wanting me to drop off a bag or two of rice for processing, we arrive 30 minutes late!

I expect them to be chomping at the bit to get home, but as usual, I wait for almost an hour in the car, then my wife comes back and says Mr. Cancer cannot come home today as he is feeling poorly!

Then, because I complain about wasting Diesel and time, I am branded a twat for not loving their family??????? can you believe it? Not so much as an apology for wasting my time and money, not even a thank you for helping them out!

Sadly they can go   if they expect another free ride, the lot of them, the longer I stay here the more I hate them.

#3738274 Carrefour, the world's second largest retailer is leaving Thailand

Posted Rama on 2010-07-09 11:31:09

All the big retailers that are here are here for the 99.95% market of Thais and not the .05% market of falangs. Me thinks the reason Carrfour is leaving is strictly for simple economic business reasons - they're running a distant third behind Tesco Lotus and Big C in market share and market penetration. They just haven't been able to generate the same mindshare among Thais as Tesco and Big C have. I'm sure they're making money, but their own internal long term ROI projections say they're better off investing their money somewhere else.
